Am I caster, am I a melee, what am I? It will take some time to get used to. Just did my first few BG’s as evoker and most of the time I’m a ranged class trying to get in range and then getting stomped by melee and outranged by casters. Feels like the worst of both worlds.
I don’t mind it. Would a longer range be cool? Sure. Do I think it’s necessary? Nah, not really.
I like it, feels like a hyrbrid.
I know this riddle, you’re an enhancement Shaman!
So many Vokers eating damage because they’re right up on the boss and mobs with tiny range with a mages defense lmao. It feels so bad as a healer too yikes.
it really does. I’ve had people move the mobs out of 25 yard range…and cancelled my spell. Happens too often so I just go melee range now.
Should be at least 30 yards.
I can only speak to Preservation but it feels fantastic. Verdant Embrace should be used often, combined with hover, rescue, and our armor buff we’re in a good spot.
Preservation really is LOADS of fun. Love flying around throwing heals to everybody, whilst doing some decent damage to the enemies!
i hated when my classic mage would shoot one range but decurse melee on a shorter range.
I hate, hate skills like this.
You are a short ranged caster. My bill for helping you find yourself is in the mail.
You’ve got ways to close the distance, that’s part of playing the class.
Log onto my dracthyr and I keep trying to make a melee build. I really like using my claws
I’d like to see is living flame also moved to instant cast like azure strike, I’d also like to be able to move while casting Fire breath. The range doesn’t bother me so much as all the hardcasting combined with the range. I’ll still play it but would like those changes.
Enhancement Dracthyr when???
I do find the range a bit annoying at times.
Sometime I get a little too close and pulls the mob before I am ready.
Evoker is great fun doing the starting zone.
I usually already played mid-range because my healers are often druids, paladins, and shaman (love them easy group heals). Have not noticed the change as playing MM makes all ranged specs feel extremely short by default.
You are a shortstop…not really an infielder and not an outfielder.
I don’t PvP so I can’t speak to that but in pve it feels fine, even with those casters who insist on standing out in the middle of freaking no where.
… and, they’re not even that mobile.
