I don’t think lore characters really appreciate their weapons. I had both of Illidan’s warglaives sitting in my bank and he didn’t even mention them throughout all of Legion. As a hunter, I can’t even use them. I just took them off his cold, dead body because he took so long to give me his bow.
He’s just trying to pretend he doesn’t recognize you. “Oh, it’s that adventurer who farmed me for months… no, don’t say anything, don’t make it weird…”
