why do you think they begged metzen to come out of retirement and game him authority over the lore of the entire franchise its because those who took over did this to our game. infact because of who metzen is the game who made the story which made us love this game is the reason people were so excited with him being back.
Blame the people in the fandom for wanting stuff like this. They asked for it.
There’s a reason people throw fits over the many times the lore evolves. Look at Calia Menethil. Or the Shadowlands. Or Azeroth being a Titan instead of just a world.
I’m not saying they should be forever fighting. But Horde visiting the new Night Elf home despite being responsible for destroying their previous one? It’s like inviting the guy who murdered your parents to your house for dinner. Its a big fat WTF.
Then explain how a red eredar appears in the draenei starting zone. Explain how they had warlocks among their number before they crashed into Argus. Explain why the Lightforged, after centuries of warfare against their enemies, decide its okay to wield their power.
I suppose when Sylvanas Windrunner eventually returns, we should all give her a hero’s welcome then?
When people like you get their way, the game slowly loses its identity.
You play a race that did not exist in the OG game. So you’re a part of the problem, too.
I have no idea what devs were thinking when they made the night elf homeland into an expansion feature that will be abandoned in the future. Perhaps all of legacy wow is going away.
the players who have not followed the franchise before BFA really do not understand wow and dont realize why people like the war and love their faction. heck back when the game originally came out you could not make a character on the opposite faction of what you first made a character of basically you were faction stuck at least for awhile so when the events like teldrassil happened the devs really didnt realize how mess up that was and than when they try to make sylvanas the scapegoat they didnt realize that would divide the horde playerbase. and so we have new gen devs and players who basically have ruined the game for alot of us with the story they have pushed thank god metzen is back to save the series.
Yeah, the peacecraft is the reason people are leaving, not terrible xpacs that ended up being raid or die. At this point having a faction war is stupid when you look at the fact we have beings literally trying to destroy our world or take it over. In fighting while ignoring the world burning down around us is foolish and stupid.
We keep getting these black and white stories because people keep asking for the most basic things. There is a whole grey area between war and peace, that is the stories that will make WoW interesting. So the people in charge and going to try and give peace a chance. That does not mean that everyone will feel that way. That people will not still fight or find ways to try and undermine that peace. Neutral cities with hostile areas through out should be the goal. This inn will welcome you, this one will not. This store has a hidden part were people plot to put the opposite faction out of their city. Underground arena where the other faction members are kidnapped and forced to fight to the death while people bet, sure.
Peace could offer a lot more options for war on a small scale then what we have now. They could even make it so that using the AH or buying mats in a different faction city cost you more. I don’t want friendship is magic peace but peace where people still hold grudges. Where they have not forgotten or forgiven. I need some Putress level of bitterness on both sides.
oh i have always said when a big bad threatens azeroth and each faction that is the ONLY time we should team up than we can go back fighting eachother likes wolves fighting for scraps of meat.
Times change. If you don’t like the current events and changes there’s always current classic wow besides classic cata or just go on private servers where they do have original game or just find something else to do.
Yes, I am okay with that. I say that in my post so I am not sure what you are talking about. It is not like people that play the Horde had a choice to burn down the world tree. BFA told us we were the bad guys and did not give us the options to try and stop it. So yeah, I want to go to their new home. But I also should not be able to go everywhere in that zone. For WoW to grow it needs to be more than black or white and better than the morally grey they tried.
