I just did a price surge, AFTER picking up the weekly quests, and it didn’t count that surge or the 12 jobs I did towards it.

Doesn’t “Surge Pricing” quest only trigger from xx:30 to xx:45 (starts at the bottom of the hour on the half-hour mark and you need to earn a box (either the green one or the blue one, the purple one is glitched) in the 15-20 minutes after the start of the event.
I’ve started the event late (like at XX:40) and the bar was already past blue and working towards a purple box by the time I joined and I did not get credit. However, if I start at XX:30 right when the event starts, and I stay in that mode in the car to get jobs, I have never failed to get a green or blue box, either of which satisfies the weekly Participate in Surge Pricing quest.
It does feel like there’s a bug with the purple box, but that could just be that a purple box is seldom awarded within 15 min of start-of-event (e.g., could be “working as intended”).
