Thanks to issues on launch, Penance AU PVE is dying

For those who don’t know the AU PvE server, Penance, was having character creating issues at launch. There has been speculation that due to this most people just gave up and rolled on the PvP server, Shadowstrike.

I know Ironforge.pro isn’t 100% accurate but it can give a good indication.
ironforge.pro/population/sod/?locale=US

There are less than 1000 logs on Penance server and a little shy of 12000 logs on the PvP server, giving an indication that penance has around 10% of the population of Shadowstrike at this point in time. If something is not done soon the server will be even more barren.

Is there going to be a realm transfer from Shadowstrike to Penance to allow those who wanted to roll on a the PvE server to move over and boost the Penance Population?
I can imagine that STV with PvP in phase 2 would make some people utilize said free transfer.

The only downside I see to offering a free realm transfer from PvP to PvE is that it could create a faction imbalance, undoing the work Blizzard has done to elevate faction imbalance on PvP server in SoD

Only other option I see is to do cross realm between the two servers, but I can imagine that there would be community issues as there would be unflagged players running around in contested zones, giving a large advantage to those players.

I cant see the servers being merged as you would be forcing PvEers currently sticking it out on Penance onto a PvP server.

Other than saying “Just reroll on Shadowstrike” Does any one else have a viable solution?

We don’t PVE down under.

Go look at WOTLKC: Arugal (PVP) vs. Remulos (PVE) vs. Yojamba (PVE?).

When you reroll onto Shadowstrike, update us.

Cant argue with those figures.

Just sucks because I hate the nature of PvP servers. Devilsaur mafia, Black Lotus ganking,
corpse camping. All just crap gameplay. PvP is Hella fun, used to love the Tarren Mill VS South Shore battles. But when your forced into the interaction with no way out does not feel good.

If you don’t mind the latency, Wild Growth NA (PVE) has a healthy population (especially alliance side)

Horde is solid as well, stuff going on at all hours of the day.

On my Horde characters I haven’t had any issues finding groups or getting boon’s (thunderbluff always packed). Horde usually wins ashenvale on a couple layers each time too. Both factions are good and active.

I never thought about it that way lol. Yeah, Thunder Buff. I prefer it over Darnassus.
