Thanks for the Queen nerfs but

Can we get some Broodtwister nerfs? Most mythic guilds are still hardstuck at this weak aura fight. It’s always a great feeling when we have to spend 30+ minutes debugging a weak aura every time we have to swap someone out.

overly mechanized fights are NOT how you want to make good mythic content.

I wish they’d keep it at few clean, crisp abilities instead.

Unfortunately, I don’t see any way of salvaging this one outside of making it ‘heroic but with more eggs’, plus keeping the empowerment effect.

Sounds good to me.

The most obvious nerf to me would be to change how eggs work. If an Egg is empowered then it takes 2 egg breaks, if it is not then it still just takes 1.

This obviously wouldn’t fix all the WeakAura issues people have but it would allow for some leeway, and potential strategy changes. Could still do traditional egg breaks but potentially have 1 or 2 people in reserve in case something goes awry. Could also add more (or less) adds to the mix by breaking more eggs if a particular set was easier (or harder) for you (given that the eggs would not touch the black goo).

A small change I would personally make is increase the radius that egg breaks can actually break the eggs. With swirls flying everywhere and the potential overlapping of circles double hitting your egg partner, it can be frustrating even just interacting with the mechanic. Increasing the egg break radius (NOT the actual circle, though i guess you could) would do wonders from preventing deaths to bad swirl RNG or the wipes where you were just a hair off of breaking an egg.

you could make the circle last 30 seconds, and people would be able to actually coordinate, as intended.

remember Meqqatorque? we called it out the hard way because it was the only way.

I get the idea but in practice if you still needed 2 people for the empowered eggs then in practice 7 players would be needed in 2 of the 3 breaks per quadrant with only one set need with 6. 8 seconds is also not alot of time for those left over players to flex should somebody die. Especially since the thing that tends to kill the egg break players is getting hit by a swirl 1 to 2 seconds before it goes off. The fight is so awfully cooked that it’s hard to fundamentally modify the mechanics. Them changing the dosage duration from 6 to 8 is a good example of that.

Eyeballing the break sequence I don’t think you’d opt to break out more or less adds than you normally would except between set 7 and 8 if your kill time is ballpark around 6:30 - 7:30 ish. Top 200 fastest kill times are ranging from 6:20 to 7:26 so would be feasible there. But sets 1 - 6 I think you’d keep it the same as it is now.

Increasing the size for the egg break but not the damage circle would help a bit. Especially with not overlapping with your partner and stacking that heal absorb.

Outside of completely retooling the fight the main thing they should do is just reduce the damage intake across the board, particularly nerfing the healing absorbs. Other one would be to make worms’ cast time longer to ease up interrupts.

Whoever poorly designed this boss after the “were getting away from needing weakauras” spiel in Dragonflight should not touch boss design ever again

Smolderon had 1 weakaura and 1 macro to run for orbs

This boss makes Smolderon look like a joke

Have to download 3-5 separate WAs to begin, and have a separate person running another weakaura/macros for markers on eggs, while setting all of this up each time someone new joins or is rotated in

The actual time we’ve spent progging on the boss is overshadowed by the amount of time we’ve spent setting up

What a joke
