I ran my first Mythic dungeon yesterday, and it was a good, fun experience. I was confident enough to request to join higher keys and I can already see improvements on my gameplay: tracking enemy casts, avoiding mechanics, watching other players for debuffs, etc.
The group I was in was willing to take a few seconds to answer questions I had and explain certain mechanics I was unfamiliar with. This is the kind of help and cooperation that makes WoW fun and I hope other groups like the ones I were exist everywhere.
Thanks to everyone willing to accept Feral Druids and I encourage all to give us a try, I promise we are better than our reputation suggests.

Gratz on getting a group of decent human beings.
Few and far between.

That’s what it’s all about keep pushing with positive people gear up and push further i’m glad to see you’re enjoying it if you check out raider io you can also find a ton of awesome guides to help you deal with the different affixes every week. Keep pushing and have fun man!
This is what people don’t realize. There are a lot of jerks in this game. I’ve left my fair share of keys and been snarky to bad players that make repeat mistakes.
But if you say ahead of time you’re new, ask questions, and have a desire to improve, I am more than happy to run the dungeon with you and help out. And I know a lot of other high level players that have the same mindset.
Keep up the good work, OP.
^ Agreed. I do between 40-75 free +10-12s for people in my stream every week and teach them fights if they ask me to. Otherwise, I assume they know stuff and just run through the instance like a maniac because +10s are the new +0s.
I definitely understand that; I imagine most of us our limited in our free time and don’t want to waste the only hour we have in a day with wipes. There is this fear of getting kicked if we disclose our knowledge deficiencies. It’s a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” scenario. That being said, the vast majority of instances of me speaking up has been met with helpfulness, not bitterness which is encouraging.
If your server is sharded with Kel’Thuzad sign me up! I’ll spec Guardian Affinity and co-tank ; )
You really should start with heroic dungeons if you don’t know the mechanics. For reals. I’m not trolling.
I disagree. the difference between heroic and mythic dungeons is so small, and mythic 0s have all the same mechanics as a m+.
Is that a pun? If so, bravo, ser. I do slightly disagree with using heroic to learn mechanics.
The problem with heroic is at a ilvl above…370? The mechanics can go completely unnoticed. I can basically ignore Deadly Boss Mod and look through my pet collection while spamming AOE. If I used Heroic to gear up, then I think you would be completely correct.
I switch to Guardian quite often to run < +3 mythics for other PUG’ers and that is where I begin to notice mechanics. So I think that’s how I would recommend practicing and learning to others.
Bad idea? Good idea? What do you guys think?
