After spending an entire day on the PTR on a few servers talking to people getting their input, sitting at the Alliance Baber shop on the PTR was quite fun interesting never did that before, but I wanted to get a feel and see if the demand for the Alliance High Elf was real, see if people were trying out the new Ren’dorei customizations, to really see if the demand was that high, So here is what I Did, I went to 4 different servers Alliance Barber Shops, all of them were quite busy, Spent the entire day almost 12 hours watching and talking to peeps, Sent out a few screen shots here and there to the wow forums and listened to the folk and watched with amazement.
First off the traffic volume was so high, people outside the Barber shop, people inside the barber shop, messages of Alliance High ELf Parties at the Alliance Barber Shop popping in chat as soon as I log in, so I head over to Barber shop in Stromwind thinking to myself , yah yah what scraps did they give us this time (thinking of the D’s disappointing delivery on the matter in the past) yet I was surprised how many Alliance High Elves I seen around the Baber shop and Stormwind they were all gathered , talking, hanging around, admiring one another’s Transmogs sitting around tables talking about the fight for Alliance High Elf in the Alliance, the atmosphere just felt good & fun, I actually had a feeling of wonder like I did when I first started playing wow in 2006, This was a good thing and people felt and loved it.
In conclusion and thank you taking to read this, feel like the best thing for everyone and the game, is that we all come together, both camps against Alliance playable High Elves & those who asked for Alliance playable High Elves after seeing all the people that were enjoying themselves yesterday and the high traffic of people coming in and out trying out the new changes, the game was defiantly the winner, after all this recent negative scandal, FF, BS, the game deserves some good time after what it has given all of us over the years, we don’t need streamers, content creators, or people looking to make a buck off the coattails of the game we love, to tell us we love WOW and how to play it, then bail when subs go down, while pointing a finger how bad we are staying with the game, we can make those decisions on our own.
The changes are coming, we all had things we didn’t /don’t like brought into the game, wacky systems, time wasting additions, disappointing customizations, but we dealt with it as a community, it was never about competition, to get or not to get what we wanted, but what just felt right for large part of the community, Lets all embrace the upcoming changes and move on together to keep WOW alive and keep the Ds on there toes with the requests and what we feel as players makes the game fun for us and everyone in our community, I feel the game deserves it.
