THANK YOU, BLIZZARD - For Standing Your Ground!

So how exactly does it effect you if you don’t use it? Miserable low T basement dweller detected.

I love this.

I am now hoping they actually do keep this nonsense going. I am now convinced that this is the only possible way to get this issue proven to these morons.

Lets let it all play out. I hope they keep releasing all of the expansions and eventually they release shadowlands. Except, based on this guys theory, they will love shadowlands because it will not have lfd tool. Lol. I cant wait. Yes, this guy actually thinks shadowlands is a great game, except because it has lfd.

This logic alone should be enough to ignore anything this guy has to say.

Lfd has nothing to do with the decline of the series. I am now so glad that there is a way to prove this. Keep lfd out. Let it fail. Lol.

Or do like i did. Find a private server that has wotlk much closer to how it was than what blizz is offering. That means lfd tool is included.

I found the truth of what these clowns really want. They want retail. They just want it with no lfd tool. Lol. Like that is all that is wrong with retail. Give it to them. Take lfd tool away from shadowlands and let them have it. Give us back wotlk with lfd. Let those retail wannabes enjoy shadowlands.

You’re being toxic right now. Several of your own posts include derogatory messages or statements. You are even having to censor yourself. Like, does it really make you feel better to say that stuff?

I noticed you skipped over Sunken Temple’s level range in this response, which is interesting because that was the message in their comment. Furthermore, what time do you play at that you have no problems finding groups?

By definition, a “ninja looter” includes two things (there are other definitions but they relate to raiding):

  1. A player who, when in a group, rolls “Need” on everything regardless of if he or she can use it.
  2. A player who, when in a group, rolls “Need” on BoE recipes for a character they are not currently playing.

Technically, a player needing on an item that they can use, regardless of their current role (Tank, Heal, or DPS) is NOT ninja’ing. We see this all the time with Figurine of the Colossus from Shattered Halls and Paladins of any specialization needing on it. It’s not ninja’ing since you’d still have a chance at winning the roll. Yes, it is a jerk move, but it’s not ninja’ing.

And how do you know that? Do you have a poll of players who admitted to going AFK because someone in their group was geared?

World of Warcraft has just a few different communities in it:

  1. PvE - Levelling to (80) and running dungeons, heroics, and raids
  2. PvP - Battlegrounds and Arena (We can include WPvP, even though it’s almost non-existent)
  3. GDKP - We all know what this is
  4. Boosting - Again, we all know what this is
  5. People who want to help without receiving reimbursement

By definition, “community” means a group of people who share a common goal, or characteristics. So, with Dungeon Finder, why do our goals change?

Dungeon Finder doesn’t affect:

  1. GDKP Raids
  2. PvP
  3. People helping others
  4. PvE Raids

So, Dungeon Finder affects only Dungeons, Heroics, and Boosting.

Dungeons/Heroics

Since a community is defined as a group of people with a common goal, if I queue up in Dungeon Finder and find a group through that, that group and I become a community because we all plan to finish the dungeon successfully, thereby satisfying the criteria for definition.

A lot of people do complain that they’ll never see or talk to the people from the Dungeon Finder again. However, that’s on you. You could simply add them on Discord and chat. It’s a very easy process - heck, I’m sure there’s a tutorial on how to add friends in case you’re curious.

One of the biggest things to remember is that back in Lich King, we had TWELVE MILLION PLAYERS - 12,000,000! We also saw at least 15 different servers in each battlegroup. How many servers are even active in Classic? North America/Oceania, I counted about 23, and some of which are going to be merged and only have less than 500 players. I saw a report (can’t find the date) where they ESTIMATED that there are 500,000 players (or accounts) active in Classic WoW. That is 4% of the subscribers we had back in 2008-2010. Players WILL see each other again through the Dungeon Finder. Thinking otherwise just radiates ignorance.

This is the stupidest line in this whole argument. Like, if you DON’T want it, then go play Classic Era.

The goal of Classic is to let players experience World of Warcraft as close as possible to what it was before The Burning Crusade.

Why do most of the people fighting RDF act similar to the players they use as an argument against RDF? I find it very interesting that they use toxic players in RDF as a reason they don’t want it but in the process act/talk smug and arrogant. If blizz continues to cater to them then classic will turn into a husk of a game. Which I wonder if they want it to fail to prove people wrong about wanting classic back or something, just so odd.

Yes it is ninjaing. I domt care where you come up with your definition. Sonwe use different sources. Ninja looting is not a law defined meaning. It was sad for you to try to post an “official” definiton. Lol

When a player rolls need on a piece of gear that is being rolled on by the spec it is made for, that is a ninja roll. He is a ninja. Just as much of a lowlife as any other form of ninjaing. Its trying to or actually taking a piece of gear out of a selfish act. The fact that it could be used for their off spec is the same as an enchanter claiming they can need ot for the disenchant or any player claimimg thwy can use the money from selling it.

It’s literally from WoWWiki.

That’s not actually a good way to look at it. Simply, gear is universal for so many reasons. For example, Protection Warriors will often seek out pieces with Crit, Hit, Armor Penetration, etc., while by your standard, they shouldn’t roll on that because it doesn’t have defensive stats on it, but it has threat stats on it.

The way I look at it is if you’re rolling need on something that others are as well then it should be something that is a direct upgrade you are going to equip right away. It is a pretty awful feeling when someone needs an item that is a lateral upgrade or a very small increase in power when its like a 20+ ilvl increase for you.

Wowwiki is not an official word definer.

To ninja something is a term created outnof thin air. Wowiki doesnt get to claim it. All they are doing is tyling the underatanding of it that they have.

It like teying to difine what suck means when someone says “you suck” its a slang term and can be used and changed forever.

These type of words or phrases can mean whatever is commonly accepted by most. Amd most people would agree that trying to outroll a mainspec player from an offnsoec olayer is considered ninjaing.

It is also a very weak argument that specs share gear. One is almost always has the clear advantage over the other. In the rare cases that it is not, it is not considered ninjaing. But you are reaching there just to not admit you are wrong. We are clearly referring to situations like a tanking trinket that drops in HMT, being rolled on by a dps spec and trying to say that it is not ninjaing because wowiki didnt say that.

There’s only two real definitions for that phrase. That’s not a phrase that is universal or has EVER changed in terms of meaning.

Realistically, I don’t know where and when it originated outside of the fact that obviously originated through online gaming, so we have that timeline.

I have actually no idea what you’re saying here. I never said WoWWiki was claiming anything. They were putting a definition to a term used in World of Warcraft. Many websites do this to help newer players better understand the game’s terminology.

No, that’s what’s called a jerk move.

No… In the case of tanking as a Warrior, there are often times when we’ll switch defensive pieces for offensive pieces. For me, this is usually in response to heavier DPS in my group than normal or we just want to burn the boss as fast as humanly possible. Most tanks of any class have multiple gearsets or pieces, to switch between, depending on situation.

Are you saying Heroic Mana Tombs?

No magisters terrace.

U obviously have issues. Im guessing you are a low life ninja and probably only do it just to try to defend yourself.

Have fun in life. Done with you.

So, usually, people say H MGT for that dungeon because HMT would indicate Heroic Mana Tombs.

Why do I have issues for having an opinion?

I only ninja to defend myself…? What?

Have fun. Make sure to actually pay attention in school.

 classic shadowlands

I get what you’re saying but honestly if you find it toxic or offensive, report if you feel it’s necessary and move on to address the topic. I’m not saying this because I agree with him (I do not) but going all Dad on him doesn’t change anything. Let the mods determine if a timeout is appropriate.

Even with the proposed consolidation of servers there may yet be difficulties for individuals attempting to assemble a full party for dungeon running so for that reason as well as the fact that the tool was available at a point after the release of the expansion, I feel this is a short-sighted and poor decision on Blizzard’s part to remove that feature. Please revert this and restore the dungeon finder to be patched at the appropriate phase in Classic Wrath.

I don’t have any characters that are the correct level for Sunken Temple. I usually get up around 2 AM EST and play somewhere between 2 AM EST and 1-2 PM EST.

If you queue into a dungeon as a healer and don’t tell the group you are after “x” item, let’s say a tank trinket, and then the tank trinket drops and you take it from the dude that tanked the dungeon, you are a loot ninja. It takes two seconds to say “Hey, my main spec is tank and I need that trinket, can I roll against you?”

Nope, but I’ve personally witnessed it more times than I can count.

It’s not that I’m offended or whatever, it’s hypocrisy.

wow. rude. just a forum post with my opinion and supporting the game. let’s not get too crazy over a single feature in a 10+ year old version of a game.

What you’re not realizing is this community is not what we had in real vanilla and TBC. There is a gold selling/buying problem in this game and players are addicted to p2w for gearing up.

You might not realize it especially if you have a great guild but just look at chat, look around. It’s nothing but a toxic p2w fest for every dungeon and raid.

Gdkp’s are everywhere, everything is reserved EVEN trash greens/blues are being reserved, seriously greens and blues…

We need the dungeon finder in the game to combat the toxic behavior of people wanting MORE than just completing the dungeons. For some reason players think the game revolves around gold now, if you have x amount of gold you could get x item reserved. What was rare in original TBC is an extremely common occurrence and it is toxic.

This game shares a special place in all our hearts and a lot of us remember wrath with the dungeon finder included. A lot of us spent all our time just doing that and never even moved on to raiding because we enjoyed it so much and were fine with what we had. This game isn’t about gold, min-maxing or efficiency. This game is about having fun and access to that is being threatened by elitist who can’t seem to open their eyes.
