I’m really enjoying the patch so far its challenging but not impossible for my alts, the atmosphere of the major invasion is awesome and I love vulpera.

What’d you get?
I got a 440 wrist to replace my 390 and it corrupted, making it useless. Corrupted gear sucks.
Same, loving my Vulpera rogue (which I did not anticipate really liking at all). And the new zones, invasions, and corrupted visions are actually really interesting to me.
What I’m really liking so far:
- There is threat of failure, so you need to pay attention, but the encounters are not actually difficult.
- The dailies are interesting from a storyline standpoint, more so than the Nazjatar or Mechagon ones in my opinion.
- Vision encounters can be very short or very long and more or less challenging depending on how much time you want to dedicate and what you hope to get out of it. Again, threat of failure/death exists but not actually hard.
- The new gear looks cool.
- New essences are easy to obtain, and all seem to have interesting functions.
- The corrupted procs on gear, while not ideal for balancing the game as a whole, are really interesting from the standpoint of balancing your gear set. One of the things I miss most about WOTLK is looking at my bank of gear and comparing it to what I have equipped, then doing gem/enchantments reworks, swapping out pieces to theorycraft out that perfect gear set depending on the patch. (Should I go armor pen build? Or full agi/crit build?" etc etc)
How much corruption was in it? Anything below 40 is extremely easy to manage (45 if you have even the base level cloak) I’ve been rocking 15 since Tuesday and I’ve yet to see it do anything at all
don’t know, it’s been cleansed. Bliz can keep that punishment crap. I’m not doing it. I’ll play and do the few things left I like, but I’m not doing this corruption carp. If it is in shadowlands I’ll go play ffxiv where I’m not punished for getting a upgrade.
I knew these corrupted items would be a noob trap lol, I just wish there was an indication that an item had been cleansed so I could /point /lol. Like i said ive been running around with 15 corruption for the last 3 days and haven’t even noticed it proc let alone be inconvenienced by it. Bads will be bad I guess
Yeah this patch is pretty fun. I have no motivation to raid, but the solo content is decently fun.
How is it useless? You have some corruption resistance assuming you equipped Breath of the Dying on your Heart (+10) and the first level of corruption is +15 on my afflock’s 440 wrists. So net +5 corruption, which is trivial compared to the bonus.
When do we get the patch that gives us the level squish? Then I’ll thank Blizzard. Maybe.
