Randomly when I am playing the game my computer will freeze briefly and reload all the textures around me. Similar to the weird transmog issue with textures reloading but now its anywhere when playing this expansion.

Sounds like your GPU is timing out and then recovering. Reinstalling the driver might help, but some people noted that Windows has a graphics issue with the recent update.

I have this same issue - it’s been going on for 3 nvidia driver versions, and Several windows updates.
On an nvidia RTX 50-series & intel 13th gen.

nah half my guild its having this issue too , changing to dx11 fix it (or at least i havent got any issues still)

I’ve also been experiencing this, about 90% of the time when opening either the transmog window or my collections menu the entire world re-renders for some reason. Drivers are updated and I haven’t had any issues besides that. I suspect it has something to do with how the collection loads, I’m not getting any Lua errors either, just the world re-rendering. (I am using Narcissus but disabling it didn’t seem to affect the issue, just thought I’d mention it).

we are from EU , i learned the dx trick because again transmog on the mount was acting weird again
first : colors on preview sets arent the same that in reality (bug that has been reported on beta ,still not fixed),
second : the reloading of textures after opening the tranmog window from the mount , after that tried again and to no one suprise , game crashed with “ something about acceleration 3d “
there its some kind of weird thing going on , maybe its because it loads tons of models the or streaming of textures who knows…im not a tech savy , but on DX11 that not happened before
so decided to give it a try and yeah have been playing on DX11 and 0 issues so far

I’m not sure if this is related, but I’m on Mac and when looking at collected mounts the preview animation with my character stutters and reloads randomly. Seems to happen for all mounts on the list, but some are more intense than others.
As of 12.0.1 this started happening to me as well, a couple of times a day. In rare occasions it happened randomly during a dungeon, but the vast majority of cases it happens when I open a window that shows a 3d model:
- character stats
- transmogs
- collections
Before it was just fine, while I know it happened before when I have only 1 monitor connected, it didn’t really affect me as I mostly have 2 connected. Now it happens a couple of times per day. I’m going to delete my data folder and redownload it, maybe it helps. I suspect it’s a timeout related to loading 1 or more textures.
