I logged in and my textures are doing literal somersalts all over my screen. ive scanned and repaired, didnt really fix it. disabling addons didnt do it either. only is happening to retail WoW- cata is fine, and other games are fine.
Sometimes my game will freeze and minimise, and fixes itself. but if i log out and in, same thing happens.
thoughts?
Is the monitor plugged into the correct GPU port?

I can try describing it? It’s like a bunch of triangles/lines all over my screen? Mostly coming off people’s mounts? A lot of lines and like colours all over my screen all the time??

I’m getting the same thing. Spikey textures all over my screen. I went to directx11 and it fixed. 5080 gpu

I am also getting the exact same thing, had to leave dornogal lol anywhere else I dont have the issue at all just dornogal
That is called GPU artifacting. Probably an issue with the GPU driver or temperature.
Try toggling some of the optional GPU features in the settings.
Clean install with DDU may also fix it, otherwise you’ll want to seek help from GPU manufacturer.
In one single city? what fixed it for me was I ported to SW then went back few minutes later and it isnt doing it anymore. Dont know if I would place blame on a GPU for somthing of that nature. Even reloading in dornogal doesnt fix it. Had to port somewhere else and when I came back it was fine
Yeah turning off directx12 immediately fixed it. ill need to mess with it later.
I’ve noticed it triggering in dornogol as well. Today though it followed me all the way in to the raid.
for me its only in dornagle and doesnt happen for any other game. surely thats not my end

I turned my back to directx11? is that what you did? it says it doesnt detect my direct12
I am seeing the same issue here and so are multiple players in game this cant just be an issue with the GPU it must be something on your end
I just got a new PC and this is happening. I’m using a 5070 . I went back to DX11, I’ll see how that goes.
Yeah I just yeeted it back to directx11 and all the graphics were fine.
I unchecked i think it was the optional graphics settings check box for using “newer features” and this also fixed the display bug. randomly clicking other things off had no effect. I tried disabling ray traced shadows and it had no effect.
My PC is only like 2 months old using a 5080. 576.28 Nvidia Driver.
My sons rig has a 5070 and it has issues with wow. Issues vanish when we swapped the GPU from his old rig to his brand-new rig. I would surmise that it’s a driver issue. I would suggest opening a ticket with Nvidia.
I swapped back to DX11 from DX12 and everything runs flawlessly now.
Yeah I was even gunna DDU to a driver 2 builds old and sit on that version for a while. That one worked perfectly.
