Texture Color Flickering

I have started noticing a lot of color flickering with textures in multiple places in the game. I first noticed it on the character select screen where a lot of the weapons and background items were flickering. Later I noticed it happening a lot with trees while in the game. This is not a constant problem as it comes and goes intermittently. Normally I wouldn’t post about this but I am running on a brand new computer that I built that should have zero issues running WoW.

I have exactly the same issue recently, notice this week. I have 2080 Max-Q with 445.87 drives.

Looks like you’re both on the 445.87 drivers. Could you try updating to the hotfix drivers to test? Does the problem continue on a different graphics API (DirectX)?

Same here, 466.47 drive.

Hi Crcz

There are flickering issues under investigation. Here is link to main thread:

[Main thread] Nvidia 460.xx driver flickering - Support / Technical Support - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

Recently I have started seeing similar things in BC-Classic.

Why don’t you tell these guys to fix the game? If I keep my shadow quality low rather it’s on my Rtx 3060, or gtx 960, if shadow quality is low the game flickers and yo I’m not gonna lie it’s getting to a really annoying point because this game was said and done 15 years ago. You could have left tbc classic on the previous wow engine nobody needed you to move it up.

Your drivers are causing the flickering. Wow can’t fix it by updating the game, because they don’t control your drivers, nvidia does. All warcraft can do is work with NVIDIA to try to help them come up with a fix, or try to provide you with workarounds.
