Testing Same-Faction Battlegrounds in Burning Crusade Classic

Which do you think is more likely? 60% of the population affected by 1 hour queues notice this and post about the issue, or a fringe group or secret redditors made this an issue when it wouldn’t have been?

Because one of those answers is correct, and the other makes you look like a lunatic.

so you believe a random person who is playing wow maybe a few hours a week has the power to compel blizzard to change the game on their own?

Ahahahah, I guess you missed that the first person to respond to this thread was against the change. It was the most upvoted comment in the entire thread until it was spam reported and deleted, and it is still gone.

I believe Blizzard can notice that BG queues are super high and determine that’s a problem.

Yea, because it was a cry post. The content of the post matters, not the upvotes.

If you have to ask lol I can’t help you. The one with no people maybe.

OR maybe you’ve just heard that rumor and you want to believe it so you do. If there are specific undisputed advantages for only side, let me know what they are.

Higher population & area control :white_check_mark:
better auction house :white_check_mark:
easy to find groups :white_check_mark:
better racials in both pvp and pve :white_check_mark:
better players due to those racials being appealing to minmaxers :white_check_mark:
higher bg win rates :white_check_mark:
favorable bg maps :white_check_mark:
faster bg queue times :x: :white_check_mark:

This lol.

Not to say there arent bomb players on alliance, we’re just a lot fewer then on horde

mine was really bad, so were a lot of others

Well then they should make some changes to suit the times!

RIP alliance doing anything out in the world on pvp servers after this change

yup this was over looked by Blizzard, So many casual Horde players will gear up much faster and join the Horde gank squads out in the open world.

This only affects PVP servers, and even then ONLY the Horde dominated ones. There are plenty of even and Alliance dominant PVP servers.

Uh, no? This is EXTREMLEY subjective. Each server and faction has a wildly different economy on the AH. Wanna come to my server Horde side where skill books are 150-300g, but primals are sub 20g?

Again, subjective and dependent on the specifics of the servers.

This is some tinfoil hattery right here. There’s no reason to believe that the average of player skill is higher, and even if it was that wouldn’t be an inherent advantage. I mean this is a self report right here.

This is assumed and there’s no verifiable proof to show otherwise.

I remember when everyone complained that the Alliance had the better map layouts back in Vanilla and TBC. Weird how this seems to change depending on which faction is more popular and perceived to be better.

It’s almost as if bad players keep making up excuses for why they are bad. “I lose because of racials!” “I lose because of map advantage” “I lose because all the Alliance players suck, but all the Horde players are good”

It’s never your fault.

There was already an imbalance BEFORE TBC. Horde racials have always been strong in PvP. When Perception got nerfed in TBC, even more players transferred over to Horde.

And no, you’re not “proof” of you not considering racial abilities as a factor in which faction you chose. You’re Horde. You’re Undead. You supposedly PvP. You chose the more populated and side with better racials. You weigh in and take into consideration of all the pros and cons when making such an immense decision. It’s not like leveling to 60 took a day like it does in retail.

If you look at PvP server population dissected by faction only in Classic (not TBC), Horde vastly dominate Alliance in numbers. And then if you compare those numbers to the Horde/Alliance ratio now on PvP servers, you’ll see the Horde indeed has shot up significantly enough to cause even more issues. Furthermore, Blizzard implementing this “fix” for your queues is going to make that scale teeter ever in Horde’s favor. There is no benefit to rolling Alliance now. You pointed out in one of your posts that it is one of the worst situations to consider faction swapping after putting all of your hard work into a character; but that’s precisely what’s going to happen with the Alliance. They will transfer to Horde or quit. Surely you must acknowledge that and if you can’t, you’re just as bad as Blizzard thinking this change is favorable for everyone long-term.

I made my character on Day 1, before PVP was added in Classic, on a server where Alliance had a 2-1 advantage. You Alliance players will make every excuse in the book for why you’re upset about PVP except that you are not good at it. That’s all this is. Accept you’re bad at PVP like me, and we can all be happy and bad together.

I am having issues getting these same faction queues to pop. I am a Horde Rogue on US Servers, but I am still facing 1-2 hour queue times, and was yesterday as well. Is there some sort of vendor I need to speak to in order to get the queues to pop faster, or are random BG’s still just that dead? I was really excited to gear through PvP, as I am exclusively a PvP player in retail, and this kind of deters me from playing, as I cannot even find a match. If I am doing something wrong can somebody please let me know?

Thank you,
Silentsins

It’s okay. We lost every game when it was Alliance pug vs Horde pug too.

It’s never your fault.

It’s Blizzard’s fault, and you seem to ***** and complain when you’re on the short end of the stick, but don’t seem to care about others’ longevity and enjoyment of the game. It’s a game. Both sides should have a fair shot; I don’t care if you’re Horde or Alliance.

I made my character on Day 1, before PVP was added in Classic, on a server where Alliance had a 2-1 advantage.

Every player has the ability to think ahead and select their faction based on what the game is to offer later on. That’s such a ridiculous argument. I knew that Alliance would fall short on racials in TBC when I made my Human Rogue to PvP day 1 Classic. I was fine with this because we got shorter queues. That made my choice worth it to me. Now, there is no benefit to being Alliance with this change. Can’t you see that? Further, you’re on Anathema which is one of the most dead servers, and a server I personally know a handful of PvP Alliance groups who transferred from there because they were vastly outnumbered in open world.

You Alliance players will make every excuse in the book for why you’re upset about PVP except that you are not good at it.

I’ve mained Horde since the day original WoW released. Hell, I even have a max level Horde in TBC. It is very clear that the Horde are getting rewarded for their poor decisions by Blizzard. I just think it’s fair and just to allow both sides to feature pros and cons, in which Horde currently have no downsides to playing. Further, scanning through your post history all you do is make whiny posts which get ratioed by fellow players (Horde or Alliance) telling you you can’t have your cake and eat it too, then shove it in others’ faces. Fair is fair, but I guess you don’t see it that way because you’re selfish.

EDIT: Clearly seeing that you argue with no consideration of anyone else other than your own selfish points, I am done replying to you. It’s genuinely not worth my time. However, I hope you have a great day.

YOU ARE LITERALLY ASKING FOR PLAYERS TO BE FORCED TO WAIT IN HOUR LONG QUEUES. You don’t care about others enjoyment of the game. You care about your own personal viewpoint. Good day.
