So you think that removing the one remaining reason for Alliance PvPers not to reroll Horde is going to result in a closer balance of faction populations?
So glad they’re testing this feature more. I can’t wait to play more battlegrounds this weekend!
I win all the time on my alliance. it’s horde saying alliance are all lazy AFKers.
Noble attempt but nowdays it’s all about people getting gratification and value along with efficiency. The game isnt about the community, it’s about who can over zoom zoom things…
likewise, being ganked at every quest hub and flight path and summon stone is also incentive for them to roll horde. now they have significantly less of that because the honor grinders on horde are in bgs.
it literally gave them incentive not to reroll.
Retail called - it disagrees w/ you.
This is definitely a jab lol
I’m sorry but there are tons of players who play alliance because they like the flavor of the faction. You guys that need an incentive to play are posers at best.
I’m not talking about normies I’m talking about Gladiators, people capable of carrying a team. Queue times were the last remaining reason for people who are actually good to split themselves between the two factions.
The vast majority of them will now stack a single faction, where there is a larger community of similarly skilled and experienced players to team up and form groups with.
so youre talking about less that 1% of the population. got it.
moving on.
What do you think the Duelists are going to do, once the Gladiators they look up to, the social circles they want to join, all migrate to a single faction?
What do you think the Rivals are going to do after the Duelists have gone?
Have you really thought this through?
If we’re going to go through with this sort of system, you may as well go the whole nine yards and implement mercenary mode (or a custom equivalent that allows for horde to play 40 man BGs) instead of letting Alterac Valley and (eventually) Isle of Conquest slowly die. The ques for those battlegrounds are going to be astronomical for horde players if faction transfers are ever introduced with this sort of HvH system in place.
if youre talking about gladiators, youre talking about arena. the game mode that ALREADY HAS SAME FACTION QUEUING LOL.
anyways. there is always going to be a best. if youre talking about minmaxxers, expect them to play whatever is best. give it a few years and youll see the same thing happen but everyone will be playing alliance.
the gladiators were probably already rerolling horde anyways. giving horde an avenue to literally play the game isnt going to make that worse.
it’s the same garbage card that dev’s pull on interviews for retail…
“FeEdBaCk NoT ClEaR eNoUgh” when there’s literally people telling them reasons why and how.
It’s probably to the 99% of the zug zugs writing “thanks, now cry more alliance”.
Anyone that plays a human in TBC will not be rerolling horde over this because in 18 months you’ll be human anyway. I can’t see too many alliance dropping everything to roll horde temporarily. Not much of an issue.
A lot of people don’t understand one of the core issues with giving Horde a big fix like this (without doing anything for Alliance) is that Horde is already a superior faction to find competitive/driven people to play with.
It’s not that giving Horde good things is in and of itself bad- the problem is it encourages people who care about a particular aspect of the game (PvP) to continue gravitating towards Horde.
Same faction queuing in arena is completely irrelevant to this issue, to such an extent that I am fully confident you have absolutely no idea what this is actually about.
I’m all for more horde players on westfall. The server is literally 90% alliance atm.
I look forward to the day we rename it to West-thrall when all the alliance reroll horde.
I still wonder what makes the devs think it is appropriate to use Classic as a testing ground of any sort.
Exactly. I’m glad at least somebody else in this thread gets it.
The long term result of this change is that over time, baddies are going to be the only people left on Alliance. Everyone who is actually competitive minded will go Horde. There is no longer any reason not to do so!
Meaning that if you are now a competitive minded player, you will feel pressured to go Horde just to find similar players to queue with.
