Testing Adding Damage Reduction to PvP

If there was any time left to test, I’d say try playing as DPS, and come back and let us know what you think.

The idea is good, 50% is just way too much. It’s slower than retail and it makes healers way too powerful. Resilience and versatility scales throughout an expansion starting in the 20s% early on and finishing in the 30s% at the end. Maybe try it out again but with numbers in that ballpark?

Faster action requires faster reaction time? How much reaction time does it take to precast your nuke combo. How much reaction time do you need to prevent going from full to dead in 2 gcds. Get real you like the least amount of time fighting cuz its the least amount of effort needed to play

The audactiy of some of you people is wild asf. I bg every day and we had ZERO issue coordinating cc and purges/dispels to kill the FC.

Bro by your logic THERE would still be WSG games going where there were 2 druid fcs 1 on each team.

The learn to play issue is 1000% on you. Why would you think it takes skill to smash your 1 dps button and kill someone in 1.25 seconds. Without the buff people literally are getting globaled.

Please don’t blanket nerf just add resil that reduces damage at higher rates, like 5% per pc of gear with stam added or something. Blanket nerfing destroys some classes, mostly your glass cannon classes without cc

I agree, what they did was a tad bit much. Dial that down 10or 15% or so and call it good.

Let the bads go back to being bad and the rest of us enjoy using skill to pull off 2v1s and what not.

they have the perfect formula for pvp in sod they just need to make pvp gear have stam/(main stat)(mp5 if healer/crit if dps, with resil or 5% less damage taken per pc of pvp gear

Can you turn it back on with maybe a 35% reduction rather than 50%?

PvP is unplayable again. Instant death should never exist in a game like this. I would rather fight a battle for 5 mins than get deleted in less than 5 seconds. There’s no strategy with this kind of balance, it’s just bursty classes like Shammy walking around deleting people. I don’t want to pay $15 a month to play Ghost Walk Simulator.

i feel like even at 50% with the 30% stamina buff things still died in stv. it felt more like classic pvp than what we have now.

This is how I felt in the first few weeks of the STV event, just constantly dying and running to my body.

bring it back. pvp was fun! I could actually use catform without falling over instantly.

0.5 seconds and if I triple crit I will kill people in cloth/leather. I have a 18% crit chance how often do you think I triple crit? According to you and every other BUM 100% of the time. Well I hate to break it to you but not very often. If I get 0 crits then my opponents are usually at 50-60% hp plenty of time for them to counter attack. Now is that gonna matter for you? No cause your a warrior and wars are trash atm. So you lose either way. So why should the game be slowed down to make you feel better when you are gonna lose either way? The answer is it shouldn’t.

As long as it takes me to push scatter shot or FD/smeld most of the time. Are some classes easier to counter than others? Of course that is vanilla pvp. A good rogue/spriest? Very hard to deal with

I like doing BIG DAM and I think the game is more fun and exciting when everyone is a big threat. It’s not fun to throw pocket lint at people until they oom. Sorry that you picked war and war is an absolute trash can atm maybe buff wars and not nerf everyone else.

WE NEED THIS BACK globals and positioning actually mattered in pvp.

You see guys this is how he really feels. He wants to win pvp from the starting screen.
I play druid too. And it was fine on my druid. I wasnt starfire starfall insta killing anyone anymore. Just admit it you dont want to pvp you just want to be op and nuke. Real pvprs like the aura.

Also, you’re equating longer games of chess with more skill than tic-tac-toe. That’s incorrect. While longer games do offer more choices/actions to take, which in a sense requires skill in managing those situations, it just swaps out the skills required for tic-tac-toe. Not only does this change the skillset of tic-tac-toe, it also changes the entire dynamic of how players engage in the game overall.

No they don’t BUMS like it. I guess you didn’t read what I said. idk how its a win from the starting screen if people are still at 50-60% when I don’t crit. And you are not starsurge starfire killing anyone without a crit either(what is that like 8-10% chance?). If I see a druid casting starfire I just scatter/trap/fd/grenade/outrange there are plenty of options. I don’t just have to stand still and let you starfire me.

Tell you what give everyone a 100% chance to crit and keep the boaring damage reduction in the game.

Real PvPers like the change because it becomes very clear that you are a better pvper when you are able to survive and secure kills over and over again using their entire toolkit.

Bad players will survive but be useless af because they don’t know what to do, who to hit, ect… spamming into a pvp cluster like its pve… That aint PvP bruh.
