Testing Adding Damage Reduction to PvP

I like where this change is meant to go. However, I do feel that as a ranged hunter we can feel a bit weak now. Our chimera shot seems to have taken a heavier blow than aimed shot. I do love that fact I don’t die to Spriest dots anymore. However, I feel healers can be extremely difficult to kill now, especially resto shamans. Without having an interrupt aside from scatter shot, It’s nearly impossible to kill them unless I vipersting them to oom, which they can cleanse same with druids.

Waiting on the public apology and reverted changes

Some of the longer interactions were really great. The longer fights let there be more “out plays”. But the 50% is just above and beyond too much. Added with heals still being 100% is madness and overkill. A sweet spot may be at 20-25% DMR. Either that or guess what, back to resilience gear.

Is the weekend finally over?

The damage is half, but the mana consumption is the same. So when mages fight each other, they cannot kill each other. I ended up killing him with my staff.

I did several dozen (WSG) BG as a horde Warrior during the weekend. It was great and I really liked the 50% DR. I had the most kills, flags returned, and the least amount of deaths in most of the runs. (We also won the vast majority of them, if not all). I felt like a juggernaut… I could over extend, fight in the front lines, make mistakes and not die. Having a healer backing me up with the 50% DR felt sooo good!

My group comp always included a healer because I was forced to premade since solo queues are broken.

That said, even when I found myself away from my group, I wasn’t instantly blown up, I could have a couple of dots on me and not die (I wouldn’t even mind having dots on me which is funny because I would have been dead before the change by the dots alone). I felt I could have a fair fight against any class.

Having said that, I encountered a few unkillable players like bear Druids and disc priests.

these things from this company always has them going LOL oops like it is cute…

Instead of letting the player to be the beta tester, why dont u first test it yourself before u deliver the flawed products?

Looking for dev apology, reaffirmation of mistake that was made, and promise to not making gamebreaking changes over pvp weekend again

This test has been great. Most fun I’ve had pvping in sod so far. The only problems are some classes like shaman dps shouldn’t have instant heals other than that pvp feels great. For the most part good players are still killing people fast but bad players other than maybe mages killing people slow. They probably can buff mage a little

And thank the lord for them as they’re the only thing making leveling at all challenging in SoD. I have no idea how people even find any challenge at all playing this game on a PVE server…

Im so glad Aggrend ignores this place. Such a toxic swamp of screaming and fit throwing and outright lying by spoiled, entitled brats that are doing nothing more or less than demanding the game be ruined beyond comprehension for everyone but themselves.

Like the old saying goes, it requires infinitely more energy to refute :ox::poop: than it does to propagate it. The only action that requires less is to ignore it entirely.

There is a way to have it both ways. There was a time, years ago, when these forums had several community managers who actively monitored the conversations. I wouldn’t mind going back to that model, with the caveat that anyone officially speaking on behalf of Blizzard (e.g., Aggrend) post those messages here. It’s great to have additional options (e.g., X, Reddit, etc.); however, those platforms cannot exclude customers. I mention that last point because it is well documented that Aggrend has blocked individual users for perceived grievances against him personally. In doing so, he is closing off an information stream (and a lot of times, he is posting something EXCLUSIVELY on X) to people who pay for this game. In contrast, if people are toxic here (or whatever is deemed to be the official information source by Blizzard), they can be blocked/banned based on the Terms of Service and/or User Agreement(s), rather than a temper-tantrum-throwing developer.

If they wanna keep this travesty in place can they at least give us a 5x or 10x honor modifer to make up for the absolute glacial pace we gain it at now. This change absolutely double or tripled the amount of time getting honor takes making it feel like a chore. And i dont know about the rest of you but i have to many other things coming out to waste time on an honor grind that gets arbitrarily nerfed.

I have said it MANY times prior to and during and now I’m done pvping in this state. It is unplayable. Healers and hybrids are unkillable, SP, Locks and Boomkin are near unkillable while still doing wrecking ball damage/rot. Yall played yourself complaining about classic pvp and what yall got was a terrible version of retail pvp that caters to the ones you most complained about.

I LOVE pvp…its my favorite thing to do and I still spam BGs (not anymore) between raids and farming despite having gotten Blood Guard week 1. This change, if made permanent, will destroy PVP.

I eagerly await the dev team’s response after weekly maintenance.

Thats exactly what I told everyone. If you want to live longer the battle will be boring and it will end up healers and warriors (who don’t run oom) killing you.

At least the fast pace was fun, yes you die fast but you also kill fast and everyone has a chance. And you also got Honor faster.
