I recently got a quest from Ardenweald Covenant campaign quest with the new renown. It’s making me go to Drustvar in Kul Tiras. Only problem is I never finished campaign quests. And it seems I’m “stuck” in Chromie’s WotLK timeline without a way to switch back (Chromie gives no options to switch timelines).
Blizz, can’t you guys just put a portal in the portal room to Kul Tiras? Or… not gate previous expansion content with tedious campaign quests? If people who are subbing for Shadowlands wanted to play BfA campaign quests, they would have played BfA and not sub only after Shadowlands. I don’t understand the point of stopping the momentum of doing Covenant quests just to finish the Kul Tiras quest line that I don’t even have access to.
This is an easy fix or a simple solution. I shouldn’t have to go back and forth in a ticket with a GM telling me to abandon the quest when that solves nothing.
This isn’t even getting into how difficult it is unlocking certain races where you have to do dungeon content nobody does anymore

Did they not give you access to the ship that takes you to Drustvar in Zandalar?

No they didn’t it’s locked behind campaign quests… I’m at the port and the only boat is the one to Durotar
Ask to ‘return to your own timeline’, BFA being the ‘default’ timeline.
Then when the intro quest pops up say “I’ve heard this story before” and then boom, you’re in Kul Tiras and you can fly away and do your stuff. It’ll take about 5 minutes to get there.

EDIT: Just realised yeah Chromie takes you out of Chromie Time once you hit 60 without warning.
I had this on my Demon Hunter (who didn’t touch BFA because ugh ew BFA) and I just picked up the always-there-from-the-beginning quest from the Adventure Board. It should be there ready to go.
My, my… I was wondering if this would occur, and what Blizzard would do about it when it did occur.
I am waiting for more of these. Blizzard is automatically assuming that they can send people back in time from current content to old zones/expansions. This may not be possible if they aren’t careful.
Wasn’t so bad getting sent back to MoP on chars that had never done it in BfA. Because I had unlocked flying for that expansion and could just shoot around getting flight points. Nothing was phased, so it worked out. Would have been a bummer if they’d had you go back to your fully leveled farm to get something on MoP. That would have been an oops.
Bet they either never thought of the Drustvar problem - or - they expect you to just “run the zone” to get what you need. Can’t decide which is worse…

Yea there’s a reddit thread on this. I don’t think they fully tested the main campaign. Current advice is for horde players to sneak onto the ship in stormwind

Can you get to Zandalar?
If you can, then opening the ship and the route to Drustvar should only take 15-20 minutes.
If you can’t, a mage should be able to get you to Zandalar where you can pick up the quest. I hope.

I took a portal near the target dummy area away from the quest giver, was that not there for people that didn’t do bfa? Rip.

Yes I can get to Zandalar. Still can’t start the campaign quest to unlock Drustvar route. This is the problem I am facing.

Last I checked it didn’t give me an option to pick up that quest from the Adv Board but I’ll give it a shot. Maybe it required a ui reload or something.
@Kholin thanks for the info. I’ll check out that thread you’re referring to; maybe people figured out a better way to do it. But the previous week’s campaign quest where I have to go to I think Twilight Valley or w.e.? They simply had a portal to make it easy to go to. Why can’t they just do that? Put Kul Tiras port where Nazjatar port used to be.

Well for the 2nd time, I’ve gotten back some lame response by Blizzard saying to abandon quest and do it again. They didn’t even read the damn ticket lol.

haha I might agree with them if Ticket-services by GM weren’t done by literal bots and probably people who’ve never played WoW or probably doesn’t even speak English. That’s the only way I can deduce you can respond to my ticket with “Abandon quest.” lol
Probably the fastest way there for you is to unlock the really quick breadcrumb to Mechagon (talk to the goblins in the port of Dazar’alor) and then manually fly to Drustvar.
This assumes that BFA pathfinder has been removed for flying, which I think is the case.
This is dumb design though.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea. Unfortunately there is no other way to get anywhere in the port of Dazaralor except Durotar. There’s no boat to Drustvar, nothing to Mechagon, nothing. I did not play a lot of BfA but I do remember doing dailies in Zuldazar and this port used to have 2 more boats; one of which you can talk to Nathanos (was it or another NPC?) to port to a different zone (one of which was Mechagon). This is not there anymore. There is no boat and no NPCs port you anywhere. Not that any other NPCs exist there.

Jesus. All I can think of is getting two friends to run out to the dungeon in Drustvar and summon you. But bear in mind, giving solutions just to try and shortcut – this is a ridiculous situation and I hope they fix it quickly.
That’s literally what I’m doing lol. had to wait nearly 12 hours for friends to get on. Just praying I’m not screwed when I get to Drustvar because I’m still stuck in Chromie’s timeline. Appreciate your sentiments. Really helpful not being told it’s my fault for being lazy and not unlocking it because I see that in other threads and that is infuriating.

drustvar is messed up for horde characters that don’t do the questline with gallywix up to where they set up the camp with the crashed rocket.
two of my horde alts only did the part where they get a boat ride from zuldazar to anyport, and many drustvar WQs are broke for them, for example the azerite mining/empowerment/wounds area doesn’t phase in the things needed to complete the azerite quest
