Please keep crying.
yeah, just changing the UI, all the classes, the whole addon thing, and a new class spec.
apart from that, nothing.
Get over it, go outside you have zero knowledge of what goes on during maintenance so…..silence
i just came to giggle. Is anyone really surprised?
To be honest I have very little computer knowledge but why do other games take like an hour to get a patch in and WoW takes like 12 hours.
Dont worrry, It’ll be another 8-16 hour maintenance window again next week when they activate the pre-patch event.
The entire database is being updated. That’s 21 years of content.
go take a shower.
Welcome to every prepatch for quite some time: the week to fix bugs, get used to changes and chill out.

I was all day outside. And I got 10 mins ago and the game is still down.
I mean i dont remember a downtime so long like this one for a pre patch with almost no content.
Every MMORPG I have played can take a number of hours or an entire day for major changes to the game. Even Palia, which is newer, has hours of downtime for new patches and content. As does SWTOR, Rift did the same, etc.
Every engine is different, but MMORPGs have a lot of databases and coding to consider for a live service game of this size— and WoW is one of the largest.
21 years and they still can’t get it together.

21 years and it will only get worse from here as the databases get larger, and people create more alts that require their own space.
Better at home and an airport.
Also transmog changes, stat squish and new houses and Endeavors for housing…..all I can think of other than what you mentioned.
Still at work, so meh ![]()
almost 10 hours and counting
