Terocone needs a rework like Black Lotus in Classic

i was buying all ragveil for anything under 30s per Last I checked was 45s per and rising so I bought all I could… Mana Thistle is now 15g per. Terocone getting near 7g per.
I have farmed WPL / EPL for poor mans’ terocone elixir. I found two black Lotus!

Last I looked MT was 19g per, and I’m not on a mega.

Unless you are a bot or you’ve been farming for months, there is no way your getting that much on a realm without layers, that’s actually full or active.

It took me an hour to farm up the MT/Terocone for my own flask 2 days ago.

That’s 1-3 MT nodes, 3-7 Terocones, and the random Lotus.

I get a lot of Terracone from alliance loot boxes in battlegrounds. Free gold. :sunglasses:

Wow, terocone is only 2.5g on my server and thistle is only 7g. You guys should farm for em, that sounds like easy money!

It’s almost like they are worth a lot, because they are nearly impossible to farm

I usually spend weekends farming herbs and ngl, I havent seen a terrocone for a month out in the wild (Terrokar, not in an instance). It’s farmed relentlessly and i’ve seen them dissapear in front of my face from teleporting bots hiding under the ground like Black Lotus.

For the love of god, either up their respawn time, add more nodes and ban these obvious bots and cheaters. it’s actually killing the game.

Yes… there are limited farming spots on any server, this isn’t new.

Honestly they just need tot bundle them with regular herbing nodes.

Like fel lotus… and adjust spawn rate so it’s up to what they want. That way you can still farm it, but you can’t camp “Known spawn spots” since there wont be any anymore. It’s a super easy fix as the code’s already in for gems/motes.

But will they do it? Probably not. I mean we can’t track both herb/mine nodes (at the same time) on the same minimap, and herb nodes aren’t sparkling which makes some herbs very hard to find on the ground with max ground graphics (or setting “10”).

So even tho it would be a very nice and welcome fix, I’m not holding my breath. If basic things above aren’t even in? yeah.

How is Terocone anything like Black Lotus though?

It’s needed for flasks and consumes, farmed on CD, and server population is dramatically higher than the herb level supports?

Yeah but that was the same thing for Plaguebloom, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, etc. in Classic.

Terocone doesn’t have the enforced scarcity that Black Lotus had. Only one active spawn per zone, one hour respawn time, only spawns in 4 zones, didn’t spawn in instances, etc.

I do think it is odd that herb spawns are still set to the original server population caps, but Blizzard did not change that in Classic despite the outcries for ~2 years. Terocone still is nothing like Black Lotus tho.

It has always been strange to me that mobs will hyper spawn to accommodate a higher server load, but none of the resources do this.

The technology to support higher population servers already exists, it just isn’t applied to everything.

Skin the trees? In skettis?

1 Zone, 2 spots outside the zone, 1 Node in an Instance (at the end!) or random drops off of mobs.

Considering the breadth of items that need it, and the quantities, its completely under supplied.

I think supply and demand are working as intended.

There are plenty of ways to make gold and afford flasks/consumes.

Yup, won’t be long before the community starts turning to gold-buying as a means to meet the demand. Just like it was during WoW Classic.

The issue isn’t making gold. Players choose herb/alch for a reason. Players should be able to engage in their chosen profession with the same regularity as they did in OG BC. That’s not happening. It’s not playing out the way it was intentionally designed to. In the time I spend scrounging herbs for ONE flask for myself I used to be able to supply a flask for at least 10 other players in my raid.

People who say there are plenty of ways to earn gold and just buy your flasks yadda, yadda, just don’t get it.

Opinion.

That’s unfortunate. In the time it takes to run to the AH, pick out my shopping list and go to shatt I can make flasks for the night and sell the remainder to break even.

I do get it. Gold is crazy easy to make.

No. You don’t get it. The fact that you brought up gold like it has anything to do with this is proof of that.

People want to herb for themselves and make pots/flasks/elixirs. Otherwise, you know, they wouldn’t have PICKED THOSE PROFESSIONS. And no, it is not opinion that Blizzard increased server pops without adjusting herbs, that is a fact. And no, it is not opinion that the original devs designed a certain amount of herbs for a certain amount of players, that is a fact.

It’s ridiculous to say it’s okay that you can’t herb because gold is easy to make and you can just buy your herbs off the AH from bots and whatnot. No, it’s not okay. Not sure why you think it is.

Defending Blizzard totally screwing over a big chunk of their player base is nuts. There’s absolutely NO good reason why they shouldn’t adjust the herbs to align with the amount of players. None.
