Tendies should also just drop from playing

Before Trader’s Tender came to WoW they were called Omnibits in WildStar and Omnibits could just drop randomly, one at a time, off of any game activity. I always thought that was pretty neat. Yeah, it WoW we get Tender from doing specific things in the game, but it would be nice to get a few here and there just from playing how we like.

I suppose the argument against is that the playing field wouldn’t necessarily be even. By playing more, or just by random chance, some players might wind up with a few more Tender than others. To that I’d say two things: one, we wouldn’t be talking about that many Tender. Like someone who plays a lot or just had lucky drops might wind up with 100 extra Tender in a month. And two, the playing field already isn’t level due to past and probably future instances of Blizz selling Tender for money in the cash shop.

I think the positives of players enjoying seeing a Tender drop here and there while playing outweigh the worry that some players might wind up a few more Tender than other players.

Dude you literally get them from almost every kind of activity. Unless you’re logging on wow and just killing random boars and nothing else you should get them. I don’t even try and I’m capped within the first week

This is not part of the cap.

What if instead we had a different currency drop, like gold or supplies or AP or carrots?

After farming ZM for Genesis Motes… the less currencies earned through mindless farming, the better.

D-did you miss the part where I said they’d drop from any type of game play? Unless playing the game at all is ‘mindless farming’ I’m not seeing the problem.

Actually, they need to create a legacy currency that encompasses all currencies under the legacy section. So that currency can be used as a currency for anything that requires any of the other legacy currencies… Those should drop from playing.

There will always be a meta for collectors, and having tenders, which are used for FOMO rewards, be locked behind random rng… people will find the path of least resistance to get them.

That is, farming. Remix is a perfect example of this. Frogs were the path of least resistance to get the currency when it was still viable, so people farmed those. When that got nerfed, people moved to other hyperspawns, like HoF trash. It didn’t matter that you could get it from flying around and collecting orbs, or dailies, or fishing, people will do whatever is easiest / quickest, especially when it comes to FOMO rewards.

Collector’s farming a low % currency each month to be able to afford all the rewards they want doesn’t sound necessarily appealing. If anything, they should increase the tender you get from the Traveler’s Log, or reduce the cost of items, so the player’s time is still respected, and people get more options.

I.D.K. I prefer the :
“Kill 20 of these things and get 100 tenders”
vs
“Kill 20 of these things and you get 1 tender per kill”

This feels like it is a thread about not enough tenders available, which I agree with when considering the prices. However, I don’t think this is the solution to that problem personally

There is already a cap on how much tender we can take in. 500 for free and another 500 from activites. With your system and the cap intact you would just need to play enough. After that the trnder will just cease to drop.

They basically do.

I just wish Blizzard would give us a higher Tenders cap to earn each month. This month for example, I personally would love to get both of the new mounts, the Arsenal Blades, the two Books, and even the Watches. In grand total, I would need 2,600 Tenders, and we only get 1k a month.

It honestly feels kinda terrible to see so much cool stuff, only to know you can’t get even half of it because the prices seem built to not allow you to get a handful of new things every month. (Last month felt just as bad as I had chosen the new mount, but had to pick between freezing the cool backpack or the Diver Suit)

Aka: Blizzard, PLEASE let us earn more Tenders each month, or lower the cost a little? This monthly FOMO doesn’t feel good.

Good idea, would certainly feel good to see tenders fly out of an enemy ive slain.

OMG, guys, I’m not suggesting a replacement for the current system. I’m not suggesting a new way to farm them. I’m just saying, maybe while we’re playing we can just randomly get a Tender here and there, no matter what we’re doing in the game, from questing to PvP, to pet battles to, hell, archaeology. You complete anything in the game and, just for funzies, there’s a small chance of getting a bonus tender. That’s it. That’s all I’m suggesting. Stop making up different things to argue against.

Having a monthly cap on earnings and those earnings can be from SO MANY activities, seems like a good implementation. No need to fix it if it’s not broken.
