This was not as he expected, Rekkagg knew full well that the bonded were needed to be trained in the ways of destroying Raveintis but was Rekkagg truly needed? Could the master not train them, perhaps they would succeed where Gallows had repeatedly met with failure… The orc stood silently gazing upon the grey dead world, it reminded him of things he had seen… The soul of a man inside the orc, had been killed and died many times, each time he saw glimpses of something… Death… Sometimes it was filled with a black mist overhanging some sort of endless fearful existence, here Gallows had been prisoner for his deeds slaughtering his wife in cold blood… Other times in his death he had seen a grey world, rotting corpses… His memories blurred each time, Gallows never truly knew if it was some death realm he saw or the scourge itself while a slave to its whims… Finally was the red world, he remembered so little of it…
The orc, Rekkagg the name of this body, shrugged his shoulders awaiting some sort of command or order… Rekkagg glanced down, his silithid we’re back on Azeroth, but that was of no matter, he hardly felt normal using such a powerful and unwieldy beast, He had always been a stalker or assassin… The beasts he preferred would also be like that… Opening his hand Rekkagg called the powers that necrolytes used to his will, this was still a new magic for him, yet the body knew it so well… With a bit of straining effort a black shadow appeared before a undead Vulture materialized on Rekkagg’s shoulder… The orc would never be without some beast to call…
Rekkagg watched as Sericon began to speak to Izzabelle, the orc chose to remain out of the conversation… If he was needed he would be welcomed to speak, until then Rekkagg would wait, the sheer emptiness before him was only a catalyst to awaken memories long since forgotten from his own fragmented mind… What was that light that had always been prevalent in the distance during his deaths… And could Rekkagg ever turn it to darkness…
Aeseir shrugged his red hair bouncing off his shoulders, “I am just saying sister, these odd creatures named a House after a baby bed, I would not be surprised if everything they named meant something else.” Aeseir said, his attempts to study the goblin language had most failed leaving the elf down right away confused!!
They both being of a warrriors heart had heard such explosions and decided it wiser to run towards the sounds of screams… Was it the noble blood of their people seeming it necessary to risk life and limb to save the weak despite not even owing these small green creatures anything? Perhaps instead it was some deep version of bloodlust, though they may not remember him right now, the demonic father of the two still gifted his children a degree of enjoyment in combat…
Aeseir didn’t even know why he asked, the two were like twins more than brother and sister and times, every battle they could remember from before they had been ready to fight for the other. Aeseir wearing full plate armor and a hefty shield thought nothing of pain or death if it meant he was between his sister and some hideous troll! Many blades had battered the high elf’s shield and many more would…
Aeseir blinked twice, a few things he now knew very well… One he had just deliver his sister to one of the very places they both should’ve avoided for their health… A massive explosion rocked in the air, and that two, his sister had already prepared for such a adventure by delaying their mother… It wasn’t long before both elves inevitability would head towards the massive metal construction thrumming with a roaring crowd… Aeseir glanced around until he found what appeared to be some sort of door, stepping through, Aeseir needing to duck just slightly they were stopped by two goblins…
“Woah woah woah! Where you mooks think your going? You gotta pay to watch!” The smaller and clearly more aggressive one spat… The other goblin merely gave Aeseir a odd looking glare… “Bal’a dash, We are from the Kirin Tor, we heard from Maff this place might be something we should look into…” Aeseir said trying to be the diplomatic one, and defuse any tension already present… The goblin stared at Aeseir, almost not blinking for a full two minutes before he seemed to see whatever it was he was looking for… “Why didn’t you say so?!” The goblin laughed a small almost fake laugh… “Tell the boss, Maff sent us some Kirin Torians!!” The goblin barked at the other… The other goblin ran off faster than Aeseir thought the race was capable of and the two elves were led down a smaller metal tunnel, after a quick turn they were headed up on a metal set of stairs… It felt like ages that they were walking before they came upon a great door… The small goblin forced it open to reveal a room with a window overlooking the arena. The room was filled with a large desk for whoever owned the place and two couches that faced a small ornate metal table… “Sit! The boss will be here shortly!!” The goblin barked before making his way out with quite some speed… Aeseir glanced at Jaseiah before finally choosing one of the two couches to sit upon… “What a odd reception… Atleast you got a good view!” Aeseir said to Jaseiah looking towards the window.
Down in the arena below a trio of fighters were dodging and attacking a great red hydra… How the goblins had even managed to wrangle such a beast Aeseir didn’t know! The hydra pulled one of its mass back before releasing a great wave of fire over part of the arena! One of the fighters seemed to slow and was swallowed by the flames, his death greeted by cheers of a voracious crowd!!
Miya stands next to the Captain, the runes that are etched into her flesh, cast a soft glow around her body. She nods and waits for Corttez, before acting. A sinister smile behind the mask that now covered her face. She knew what ever he had in mind, would be worth waiting for. She spares a glance down at the Siren. She had greatly enhanced its powers, when she had burned the spells into its body. She had also placed a glyph of summoning. One that would allow the Captain to summon her to him. They will give her her freedom, but they never said how long that freedom would last. Miya then turns her focus to Valenae, the Crimson Quell’s sharp shooter, and one of their better cannoneers, because of her vision.
Miya watches as Valenae takes out the two Tide Sages on the smaller Frigates, before firing her cannon. She s unable to see whether or not they hit, as the distance and heave fog, are obscuring her vision. But the grin on Valenae’s face, tells her what she needs to know. Valenae then fires on the Tide Sages on the Main Frigate…
Miya jumps slightly when Valenae is thrown back, with the force of a Frost Giant kicking a Gnome. Cursing Miya looks towards the Frigate, before looking at Valenae “Grab your gun and fire again. I will make sure that shield is down when you do.” Miya states turning to look out at the largest Frigate. Luckily it’s close enough for her to be able to use her Arcane familiar. That and invisibility allow her to see all aboard the upper deck of the Frigate. Ahhh, a shield to protect the Tide Sages, good job. Still I think I will be taking that from you. Grinning she speaks a handful of Arcane words. Then with a slight twist of her wrist, she steals the spell that is shielding them. Just then Valenae appears back at her side the Silencer loaded and ready. Through the eyes of her Arcane Familiar, she watches as the two last Tide Sages are taken out. It isn’t pretty either. Once the bullet sinks into them, they start foaming at the mouth, violently shaking, before exploding. A rain of blood, flesh bits, and bone shards, fall across the deck of the Frigate.
Miya laughed as the Siren was tossed into the sea, and a moment later her hellish song filled the air. It wasn’t long before her voice had one of the Frigates stranded on a large jutting rock. The crew then proceeds to take out the other two Frigates. Which Miya isn’t sure is necessary, considering they seem to be doing a good job taking out themselves.
As Nihsa pulls the Crimson Quell alongside the scuttled Frigate, Miya prepares to cast a mass teleport to bring those crew members going with them to the Frigate. Those that couldn’t make the teleport can board the scuttled vessel once the boarding planks are in place. Miya waits for the Captain command before starting her spell.
To say Jaseiah was excited was a bit of an understatement, she was ecstatic. See Aeseir I told you it was an actual arena Maff was talking about. Another explosion rocks the air, and Jaseiah has all she can do not to cheer along with those behind those massive steel walls. Jaseiah starts to grin when she sees the way her brother is now looking towards the massive Arena. A big grin breaks out across her face as they start walking towards the Arena and not away from it. Neither Aeseir, or her had any memories of their father. But she was certain that they got their love of fighting from him. Jaseiah had a need to prove that she was better than others, that they were beneath her, and they would respect her. She was sure she got this from her Father, as her mother was nothing like that. However now Aeseir, and her, were headed towards the Arena, and her excitement was mounting by the moment.
After walking around the massive steel construction. The two of them finally see a door. Jaseiah snickers as Aeseir is forced to duck down to clear the doorway. Thankfully once inside the ceilings were much higher. They had only gone a few feet, when two of the Arenas proprietors accosted them. Jaseiah could tell that her and Aeseir had just been insulted. She might not have any clue what a nook was, but she knew it was an insult. A side look from Aesier tell Jaseiah that she is to remain silent, and let him handle it. Of the two of them, Aeseir was much better at diplomacy then she was. Jaseiah’s idea of diplomacy was beating on them until they gave in.
Jaseiah tries not to roll her eyes as her brother speaks with the little green ba… ummm Goblins. After two minutes of being gawked at one of the Goblins speaks. He obviously finally found whatever it was he was looking for. Well technically Maff had mentioned the place, and if it got them in, Jaseiah was all for it. She watches as one of the Goblins sprints down the hall, like being chased by a pack of angry murlocks. Aeseir, and her follow the remaining Goblin down a different passageway.
Jaseiah steps into the room, looks at the two couches, she then sits next to her brother on the one that he had chosen. Her hands clenched together, as she watches through the window, at the action happening below. She was a bit perplexed as to why they were taken here. Still she wasn’t going to complain the view was magnificent.
Jaseiah grins as she turns from the show to answer her brother. “The view is superb, amazing…” Jaseiah suddenly grabs Aeseir excitedly, “Could you imagine fighting in something li…” her words die as a wave of flames covers part of the Arena. Jaseiah jumps off the couch and rushes up to the window. She screams and cheers right along with the crowd.
Izzabelle stood there in silence, staring out across the landscape of the bleak dead world that she now stood upon. This desolate place seemed completely devoid of life. With the exception of an Orc who she is certain she has met before, and Sericon… Sericon changed so much from the Blood Elf Warlock that she had grown to love. The Sericon standing before her was so different, she would not even think them the same person. Yet she could still feel the bond between them, her heart still reached for his, her soul, or what remained still blossomed in then presence of his. Still the bond now felt strained, Izzabelle yearned for the Warlock. The High Magus that now started to fill her memories. Like the blurry images from long forgotten dreams finally coming into focus. Izzabelle looks up at the sky, while the world beneath her feet might be dead. The sky was alive with a plethora of reds, purple, blacks, and greens twisting and turning about each other…
Izzabelle tilts her head to look at Sericon, and smiles slightly. Even with the things she is feeling now. She can still feel the bond, and the pull to be close to him. Yet if she thinks to long on who he was the bond starts to cause her pain. Instead she tries to figure out how it was that they had gotten there. It is now that she notices Master Isaik, the strange nature Elf that follows him, and a cat on a broom. It doesn’t take much of a logical leap for her to discern, that they are responsible for this little excursion into the Nether.
Izzabelle turns so that she is now facing Sericon. She absentmindedly taps her chin as she considers his question. “Honestly I’m not sure what to think, I’ve lost so much that the desolation doesn’t really bother me. Although I do wonder why it is we were brought to such a place.” Izzabelle’s voice seems to trail off as she watches Sericon switch his weight, from one foot to the other. It would be easy for Sericon to pick up on the fact that she is troubled. After a moment of fidgeting Izzabelle speaks again. “I’m sorry Sericon, I don’t remember what happened or why you were changed. Yet I know it had something to do with me. With whatever is wrong with me.” Izzabelle blurts our apologetically, biting her bottom lip it’s a few seconds before she continues. “I’m remembering things, from when you were a High Magus. I feel like you are a different person, that I’m somehow being unfaithful to who you were…”
“And that is just one of the reasons that we are hear.” The cat says now perched on Sericon’s shoulder
holy shiitake mushrooms the cat talked. Izzabelle lets out a startling yelp of surprise, then spits one of her spiders out at the offending feline. Yet the cat is nowhere to be seen. The plagued fel, mutant spiderling lands on Sericon’s Shoulder armor. Reaching her hand out, it jumps back onto her hand. “Was there a talking cat on your shoulder?” She asks, uncertainty accosting her mind as to whether she had been imagining things.
“Well I was on his shoulder until someone started spitting spiders”. Spinning around Izzabelle sees the feline on his broom next to the nature Elf. “You are both in need of training, the Dark One can fill the three of you in on that. It would seem Izzabelle, that in the process of trying to fix some of what was wrong with you. The bond between you and Sericon has become a bit strained, from your side at least. To many memories of who he was, has obscured your ability to fully accept who he has become. Now the two of you will need to create memories to help strengthen that bond once more.” The cat states from his little broom. Izzabelle watches as the cat turns to Master Isaik, and the Naturish Elf. “I’m sure that you both have it from here, I should go and check on Ahcirej, and the kids.” With that said the cat vanishes… Ahcirej, and the kids? Was the cat married, was there a family of talking, teleportation proned felines running around? Izzabelle moves closer to Sericon. “I’m starting to think this place is messing with my mind.” She says with a slight grin, the mutant spider now the size of a large rat sits on top of her head.
Skalaz nodded as he made his way on, yes, they could always count on him to scorch some troggs… It was a great way to perfect the alchemical processes of creating fire for offensive attacks, under battlefield pressure and varied environments!
Troggs poured through ever new cracks in the cave walls, to Skalaz it appeared fire was becoming a less viable option by the minute! Skalaz took a moment to glance around as the battle raged on, what could he use?? The goblin took inventory, the domain was built in a cave system… This specific system had been chosen for its isolated area but also for the natural lead veins that were prevalent around the area… The cave system itself like most was made of limestone, dolomite and gypsum… Skalaz gave a small grin, the goblins of his home isle had quite a use of these materials! Skalaz took a step back, the first of many troggs deciding the small creature was a satisfactory meal, Skalaz would teach it otherwise…
Skalaz wove his hands altering the chemical make up of the limestone and dolomite of the cave walls creating a surge of liquid concrete directed at one of the many breaches of the troggs! The liquid rock washed over the dull savage creatures slowing them down as the liquid stuck to every surface! With another snap Skalaz flash dried the concrete leaving stone statues of troggs locked in a wild run…
The way Varicar moved was hypnotizing, the elves had this ability to make it seem as if they were flowing like water during a battle. Skalaz saw no hard movements but each strike of his blades like a rushing wind…
Skalaz nodded at Varicar’s commands when given, glancing at five of the several breaches the goblin focused his next attack. Minor cracks in the walls above the breaches were perfect areas of attack for Skalaz’s brand of alchemy… With a snap of his fingers sparks shot out from steel and flint in his gloves culmanting into a trail of fire! Each flaming stream traveled the pathways of concentrated oxygen to their targets before detonating! The breaches collapsed into rubble and loose rocks causing resounding groans to echo up from the caves nearby… Skalaz got ready to attack once more when the ground quakes, Skalaz froze had he gone a bit overboard?!
The ground collapsed underneath them all! Skalaz completely was taken by surprise for several moments the goblin merely flailed in the air before getting any amount of a barring! Touching his hand to the nearest falling rock he rendered to a dolomite sand… It would still hurt like hell but it was better than landing on a solid rock! Splashing down into some watery pool Skalaz couldn’t even stand up! Struggling hard the goblin found a nearby rock that jutted from the water before climbing out…
Skalaz didn’t recognize the women she must have been down here since before Skalaz joined the cult. Skalaz did note that the women did have a particular hatred from the Watcher and Amberlei, and the scar on her neck meant she had tried to flee the cult…
Skalaz froze this was bad, how had the alchemist not seen this either! Sulfur, Oil, the bowl shake of the room!? There was hardly enough time to convert such a large trap into something nullified, nor did Skalaz have the ability to do so! Skalaz tried to concentrate hard as his mind ran miles in minutes trying to find any solution to save his own life! Oil… Oil had a chemical make up of carbon, hydrogen and water… Not very good two the the three were still quite flammable! Skalaz focused his head starting to hurt, carbon… In a proper structure would form graphite! Skalaz didn’t have time, doing his best the goblin placed his hand together converting the layer of oil drenching himself to graphite and transforming the rock he stood on to a layer of concrete! It wouldn’t be enough, the women’s fire ball struck the oil igniting the chain reaction, Skalaz covered his the thin layers of graphite and concrete avoided horrific burns but was thrown from his spot by the pressure wave of the blast! Skalaz crashed against a nearby cave wall before falling hard to the solid limestone floor, the graphite and concrete shell did nothing to stop the brute force on the goblin… Lauing still Skalaz coughed twice as the protective layers cracked and fell off his form, the goblin stood slightly at a angle, one of his ribs were definitely broken… Skalaz couldn’t see much, the lake was still aflame, he wondered how many others made it out alive…
These were valid points, but as it was, there was nothing Varicar was going to do now… Varicar nodded to let Amberlei know he understood her worries…
Varicar watched his second in command head out…
(Present time)
Varicar was like a demon slicing through troggs like a warmed knife over fire might through the chilled snow of Dun Morogh! The key for swiftly and efficiently killing troggs was aiming for the right spot, trogg bones were notoriously dense and the hideous creatures grew rocky growths that were just as hard as any shell! Varicar had taken to distracting the dull humanoids with his first blade while preparing to place the second blade between the troggs head and neck… The watcher left another headless trogg in his wake as he moved through the field.
Varicar was the first to react leaping backwards, his the elf was not fast enough to make it towards the edge of the collapsing floor! Varicar felt the wave of magic wash over him as one of the cult priests halted his decent just slightly allowing the watcher to lunge towards the cave walls! Varicar stuck his blades out digging into the thick limestone walls before coming to a halt… The watcher was hardly close to the way out, but neither had he fallen down to the water below… Several splashes meant other cult members had not been so lucky…
Varicar’s eyes widened as he witnessed the impossible… This women was supposed to be dead supposedly killed off long ago for attempting to desert the cult… Yet here she stood…
Varicar growled as the conjured a ball of fire in her hand, Varicar took a quick glance around, oil and the smell of sulfur… A trap, the watcher hissed, he hoped the others had the skills to keep themselves safe… Thinking quickly Varicar covered his face with his arm as a wave of fire erupted from the trap, Varicar himself was not spared from the surge of flames… Thinking quickly however he would be spared of burns taking his blade quickly the watcher cut his vest and protective leather tunics and ripped them free of his form. Whirling the burning garments through the air Varicar extinguisher the flames on his pants and gloves before releasing the burning tunic from his grip… Below him was a hellish lake of fire, a select few of the cult had survived… They were the lucky ones, even with his quick thinking parts of Varicar’s bare chest was burned from the scorching flames…
Varicar took a second to figure out his next move climbing the wall to escape or helping those below first… The survival of the cult was most important, every member he could save, he would… Varicar choose a few good spots defending into the pit before landing near Skalaz looking worse for wear his form slightly broken… “To me, who ever lives make yourself known!” Varicar called out, if needed he would brave the burning lake to rescue the cult…
That blasted other frigate fired again at his glorious vessel! “Treasonous slime!!” Dandreth called out in fury, to his surprise the crew aboard his own vessel even seemed to lunge at each other… In the air a soft song of such a soothing melody, even Dandreth nearly gave up, when his will surged back to him! “Vile monsters! Pirates and witches!” Dandreth called out making his way towards a great cannon, loading it with five times the usual powder, Dandreth ignited the cannon before diving for cover! A resounding blast filled the sky, the blast seemingly separating several of his crew from the demons song, Dandreth’s ears rung from the detonation… The pirate hunter could not be tainted by the beasts vile song if he could not hear! The victory was short lived as grapeshot peppered the deck a few grazing Dandreth causing him to fall backwards…
A resounding blast went off as the shield protecting the todesages was struck, Dandreth growled so this was it, leave the hunters stranded without aid?? But what was this unnatural battle? Lightning struck in the distance, ripping into no doubt one of Dandreth’s vessels… “You tide sages get below deck!!” Dandreth commanded but it was too late as a round hit the mages causing them to foam at the mouth and explode… “Worthless!!” Dandreth hissed… Clearly the pirates had the upper advantage here, sight through the fog and a demon beast at their command… “Below deck! They be coming for us eventually but we Stromgarde will not be giving up so easily…” Dandreth commanded before heading into the vessel… What a mess!
The nearby frigates had a different story, to the main frigates right was a vessel under attack by a monster! Crew members wads of cloth stick in their ears fought back against love stricken crew members and sone flying she demon beast! How could they match such a creature most of the crew had merely turned! The turned crew members cutting down former friends while aiming the frigates cannons at the main vessel! “Below deck!” Called out a Quartermaster the only high ranking commander not dead or turned! “Defend the powder!” He hissed directing loyal and free men below deck…
On the main frigates left the ship was scuttled men groaned as they tried to get to their feet… Had the light forsaken them? Lightning struck their deck killing the first mate instantly! “Captain a ship!” A cabin boy called out as the dark silhouette of the Crimson Quell pulled along side them! “To arms! Fire all cannons!” The captain called out, but to his shameful luck all the topside cannons had been destroyed… Three cannons fired their loads at the Crimson Quell before the crew of the Frigate heard the war cries of the pirates!
Corttez gave a dark grin, perfect… The pirate captain could hear the enemy ships settling into the reefs and sands as their greatest chance of escape died with their tide sages… The Captain prepared his own weapons for boarding, reloading his great hand cannon, this time a single large metal ball… A blast could be heard sending Valenae tumbling across the deck, Corttez growled but Miya was faster getting Valenae ready to fire again… Perfection…
“An extra sack of gold to you, Nisha.” Corttez stated as he watched the lightning and thunder strike the deck of the vessel their were now encroaching…
Corttez glanced at Miya before nodding the command to teleport, “Get ready lads! Grab your fill!!” Corttez roared out causing the pirates to respond with a cheer of bloodlust! Cannon fire roared out striking several point on the deck, “Now let’s be making sure we don’t let them do that again!” Corttez roared as Miya initiated her teleportation!
Appearing on the scuttled frigate in a flash of arcane magic, Corttez called out, “For the Quell!” Before rushing forward the first boarding battle beginning! Corttez swing his mighty gun like a club knocking several men off their feet, easier pickings for the red furred demons that followed behind the mountain of a man! Hyenas ripped into the arms and legs of a fallen man pulling him apart like a sick tug of war, his cries were quickly drowned out by hellish hyena laughter! A man fired a primitive pistol at Corttez, a miss but it caused the captain’s hair to wisp into the wind… “Nice try lad, now for mine!” Corttez leveled the hand cannon at the unfortunate fool before releasing the wick mechanism that ignited it! A resounding boom echoed out as a metal ball the size of a orcs fist ripped through the unlucky fool… He fell were he stood, Corttez merely turned away to continue the fight as three hyena cane to rip the bloodied body apart! “What you think Miya a new ship for a great armada or sea gull nesting grounds?” Corttez laughed reloading and firing his cannon spraying the deck cabins with grape shot…
Verricc awaited biding his time to board the other vessels as Corttez and Nisha maneuvered the vessel to its location in the fog…
Nisha was a demanding helmsman but none could challenge in saying she was the best. Verricc helped the rigging to make the boat move swiftly as the helmsman and captain demanded holding on for dear life as the vessel lurched hard, the turn hardly seemed to faze Corttez who stood as if he was apart of the vessel itself.
Verricc made his way to a cannon targeting the thick wooden hills of the frigates in the distance before awaiting his captain’s command to fire…
Verricc struck the cannon wick area with his spear causing a spark that ignited the metal behemoth! A resounding blast exploded out as the Crimson Quell open fired on their hapless enemies! Verricc reloaded the cannon before firing again!! Much to Verricc’s like lightning struck the opposing frigate across the deck, Nisha was more than a helmsman but a lethal member of the team!
Verricc rushed ready to board, several shots rang out from the enemy frigate exploding around them before in a flash of arcane they were aboard the frigate.
The crew roared as their captain did, “For the Quell!” Before charging forward! Verric leapt at the nearest enemy before him swinging his boarding spear across his body slashing at the frigate soldier before whirling his spear around and bringing it up to pierce the fools body! The hyena around Verricc were relentless and voracious snapping at the soldier before Verricc even finished the kill! Nearby several hyena worked in tandem, a large mangy hyena snapped at the soldier from the front before two other hyena flanked the soldier snapping his ankles and pulling the man down with a crashI! Five hyena in total lunged onto the fallen man each fighting for their piece of the meat! The fight was just beginning as the frigate captain stood ready to face oblivion, “We are Stromgarde, like the wall of Thoradin we shall endure!” He called forth, he wouldn’t stand down neither would his men…
Marrc stood aboard the vessel using his unique brand of magic to harden the wooden beams, when Nihsa called hard to starboard, the bear of a man grappled four different ropes pulling them hard to give the sails the needed boost Nihsa would need. The Quell turned hard ready to attack! The crew was ready as was Marrc!
Lightning struck in the distance as Nihsa called the elements to strike her enemies! Valenae took aim relieving several tide sages of their lives… Ships of their guides… Corttez order open fire, Marrc stood right next to a cannon using his strength to push the barrel to the correct aim… With the command the bear of a man lit the wick causing the cannon to fire!
Marrc was among those who stayed aboard the Quell, with the three cannon shots crashing into her side the vessel needed care… Marrc stood in the center of the deck his arms extended speaking to the wood of the vessel forcing it to mend! It was the crew that made the Quell so powerful and dangerous of a vessel… Marrc breathed deep with the holes in the vessel mostly mended Marrc froze something wasn’t right…
From behind Marrc a Stromgarde soldier lunged, how did they get aboard the Quell?! Marrc roared turning from man to bear within a few heart beats, as the man swung again it impacted into the odd wooden bone hide that Kultiran forms had, Marrc growled loud before swinging his clawed hand knocking the man into a stack of crates! From above several more Stromgarde men fell, they had swung from upper mast of their vessel to the Quell!
Marrc roared crashing across the deck like a wild beast before with all his might he brought his massive paws down on the fallen Stromgarde soldier crushing his chest in a spatter of gore!! It was up to Marrc and the others still aboard the Quell to defend her while the captain crushed the Frigates captain and crew!
With a flash of Arcane, Miya teleports the group onto the scuttled Frigate, Just as the Frigate fires its cannons at the Crimson Quell. The split second Miya appears upon the deck of the Frigate, she jumps into action. Moving across the deck of the ship, she weaves spells of Arcane, Frost, and fire against those foolish enough to attack the Quell. A giant of a man nearly twice Miya’s size comes barreling at her, a massive sword in his hands. With a powerful leap he brings it crashing down. As the mighty weapon strike Miya’s Prismatic Barrier, an explosion of Arcane sparks is seen as he’s thrown back a few feet. Speaking an arcane word, Miya sends a spark of Magic c at the big burly fighter. There’s a ”POP!” then the man vanishes, standing in his place is a sheep. It wanders around for a second or two confused as to what has happened. The Animalistic screams of pain become all to human as a group of The Captain’s hyena leap atop the hapless animal, and proceed to rip it apart. He transforms back to his human form, as two of the heckling beasts rip his guts from his stomach as they fight over them.
Miya hisses in pain as she feels pain rip through her left shoulder, as an arrow sinks into her flesh. Turning she sees a woman standing a few yards away bow in hand. Miya leaps to the side to avoid the second arrow headed her way. In a shimmer of magic Miya is suddenly standing behind the brave huntress. She then lets out an amplified barrage of arcane missiles at the wretched woman’s back. They rip through her armor, blasting into her flesh. As the last missile strikes her hearts and lungs burst from her chest. They more resemble a mashed up of ground beef mixed with bone splinters, then the organs they once were. The younger crew member that is struck with the gory mess, throws his weapon down. He starts sobbing, and retching, “I surrender, I surrender, don’t kill me.” Miya gave the coward a look of disgust. “Sniveling like that, they might mistake you for a light snack.” Miya says harshly as a few of the Hyena approach the… Miya sniffs the air and gags rancid smelling man. The rapidly forming puddle appearing beneath the man has Miya stepping away with a shudder.
Miya laughs as the grape shot rips across the deck of the vessel and into some of the doomed pirate hunters. Watching chunks of blood covered flesh, organs, and bones spray across the deck of the vessel. The cacophony of screams, howls, and whimpers, of agony, sound like a symphony of angels singing to Miya. “Why Captain I think a sea gulls nesting ground would be a fitting end for this vessel. Becoming seagull, fish, and hyena food, will be a fitting end for its crew.” Miya states, her mind already thinking of the many ways she will end these wretched creatures.
Less then a few moments after the last of the Known Tide Sages explodes, Valenae feels Miya’s magic sweep over her. Still that moment is all she requires to activate her shroud of concealment. The shroud spreads out wrapping those close to her in a stealth cloak of invisibility. As soon as they are aboard the scuttled vessel, they make their way towards the cannons, and cannoneers. A gasp, followed by a choking sound is all the warning the gunners get before they are set upon. The first a toothpick of a man, who looks like a slight breeze would send him flying. Drowns in his on blood, while hopelessly gasping for air. Another finds twin blades run through his back, stabbing into his heart, before coming out his chest. A third finds the left side of his head caved in. Skull fragments mutilating that portion of his brain. He drops to the deck body twitching like a fish out of water. A fourth cannoneer is relieved of his head, which falls into the hands of the fifth. Who shrieks, drops the severed head, before leaping over the side of the vessel.
Valenae watches the chaos unfold from the shadows for a moment. Looking about she sees a cannon and gunner a few yards further up the deck, preparing to fire on the Crimson Quell again. Not today! she thinks as she shadow steps behind the unsuspecting fool. With duel rapiers in hand she drives them into the man. Crossing them as they sink into the meaty flesh of his lower back, and abdomen. Ripping them in different directions, Valenae uses her strength to sever the mans spine. The man attempts to turn, as he does the top half of his body starts to slide off of the lower half. A fountain of blood pours from both severed halves as his upper body drops to the deck. His lower body remains standing for a few seconds before falling.
beautiful! sudden pain in her side has Valenae twisting around just in time to parry a dagger being aimed at her heart. Standing before her is a young woman, who’s eyes are filled with a familiar rage. “That was my father you murderous wench.” She screams before rushing Valenae. She attacks Valenae with a series of blows that are nearly impossible to see. Valenae blocks the first two, the third, and forth, slice across her chest, and deep into the muscles of her upper right arm. The fifth slice of the raging woman’s blade slices into the old scar on Valenae’s face, opening up an old would. Parrying the last blow, Valenae draws back her hand doubles up her fist and lets it fly. The satisfaction of hearing cartilage of the girls nose crunch as her fist connects to it has Valenae smiling. The woman hits the deck a few feet away out cold.
A wave of weakness washes over Valenae, before she coughs up a mouthful of blackish colored blood. Looking down she sees the wound in her side is black puss looking blood. Damn she had been poisoned, she grabs for one of the flasks on her side as another wave of weakness has her dropping to her knees. She can hear footsteps rushing towards her. are they friend or foe? her vision or s becoming blurry. Fumbling for a moment she gets the flask open, and starts to bring it towards her lips.
The Captain, Miya, Verricc, Valenae, along with a group of the Crimson Quell vanish as Miya activates her spell. Just a moment before a portion of the deck of the Quell, was torn up by cannon balls. Striking the wood in numerous places the surrounding already explodes in blast of wood shards and splinters. One or two unlucky crew members find the flesh, muscles, organs, and bones, being shattered, and broken. Nihsa lets out a snarl of rage then moves to the side of the Crimson Quell. Upon reaching the cannons lava bursts from her out stretched hands. Shooting over the expanse the molten rock strikes two of the Frigates cannons. As it strikes the molten rock splatters off of the rapidly disintegrating cannons. Burning through the armor of the men close to them. They start ripping at their armor as it bursts into flames, from the heat.
Nihsa watches with a smile as Marcc takes out the first of the attackers that were swinging from their moored vessel to the Quell. With a single word Nihsa drops a series of four totems at her feet, as she prepares to fight. She had remained behind, expecting an attack of this sort. Nihsa had been through numerous battles on both the Crimson Quell, and the ship her and Miya ran before. This tactic wasn’t anything new to her. “You be tinking dat you be smart, I be tinking dat you be dead.” Miya says as she unleashes a chain of Lightning at the pirate hunters as they drop from the sky. The electrical energy rips through the bodies of four of the Frigates crew. Bloody teeth burst from their mouths their flesh charred by the electricity tearing through them. When her storm totem profs elemental overload Nihsa knows those fools won’t be surviving. Without missing a beat she drops an earth grab totem near the others. Many of the Frigate crew find themselves unable to move, while looking at the faces of a bunch of murderous pirates, and the salivating jaws of over a dozen hyenas.
Nihsa grabs her head, hissing in pain, as a burning stabbing sensation tears throughout her skull, followed by these sharp spikes of pain. Looking across the deck of the Crimson Quell, Nihsa sees a robed figure standing. With the cowl up, she couldn’t tell if it was male or female, not that it mattered. Nihsa casts frost shock at the priest, which is nullified as it hits the barrier around them. Miya curses, dropping a counterstrike totem just as the cloaked figure unleashes a series of light infused magical blasts from her hand. The blasts strike Nihsa sending her backwards as the blasts impact her chest. Still she laughs as the counterstrike totem send magic blasts at some of the downed pirate hunters killing to of them. Rising to her feet Nihsa feels the wound on her chest start to mend as a healing surge washes over her.
Corttez pulled his gun up reloading it with a large metal ball and more powder, “That’s all I hear now, Miya, sea gull nesting grounds.” Corttez lowered his cannon at a cabin door, before activating the mechanism that brought the lit fuse to the flash pan! The cannon exploded shooting forth the metal ball that shattered the door in a shower of wooden splinters and cries of agony… Did these fools truly believe they could hide from the pirates behind closed doors?? Corttez put his hand to his ear, if one removed the explosions of cannon fire and ringing of swords, the screams of terror from the Stromgarde sounded just like sea gulls nesting.
Corttez moved forward, he was the center of death from the Quell, the violent hyena almost always moved around Corttez like a whirlpool of red fur and teeth. The Captain moved forward until he spotted the rival captain guarding a stairway down into the lower deck… “Protecting those weaker cabin boys are ye?” Corttez said coming to a halt across the deck from the rival captain, “I like my people do what we can to help humankind, unlike your swill! I shall not fall!” The rival captain called! “We shall see…” Corttez stated by then a grand portion of the hyena had formed up near Corttez ready to bring down the boastful rival captain… With a grin Corttez made his move, lunging forward the captain tossed a small metal ball with a lit wick hissing from its side, a explosion sent wooden pieces flying as the rival captain dodged. He was met by three hyena snapping at his arms and heels as he landed hard… Drawing his sword the captain blocked a hyena trying to snap at his face before rolling hard to the left! A blast in the wood sent splinters raining down near the man, “Hmm Perhaps I should adjust these sights, that should’ve been your head…” Corttez taunted, several more hyena joined in snapping at the man causing the rival captain to back up. Corttez gave a hearty chuckle as the man brandished his sword ready to strike at a hyena, Corttez wouldn’t allow that… The massive giant of a man fired his hand cannon shattering the rival captain’s sword into millions of glittering pieces! Corttez nearly took the moment to capitalize on the poor disarmed rival captain when a Stromgarde soldier struck him from the back…
The metal cuirass that the captain wore saved him from a mortal blow, but the captain’s arms and cape were sliced a thin trail of blood appearing… The bold move did nothing to stagger the giant man, “Now that was a stupid thing ye did…” Corttez growled low, it was a cold tone devoid of the usual joy of the captain… Corttez swing around hard his cannon now a dangerous club, in one sweep the offending soldier was knocked hard to the side his sword now laying far from his hands… Corttez moved over towards the man with a burning vengeance in his heart, the soldier tried to rise but Corttez was quick delivering a swift quick to the man keeping him down… Taking the man in one hand Corttez grabbed some rope tied to the frigates cannons meant to keep them from moving across the deck when firing, with a rough hand the captain tossed the rope over the man’s neck before tossing him back to the floor! Walking away the man already tried to feed himself from the ropes before hyena set upon him snapping at his arms and tearing flesh… Corttez stopped near the cannon the man’s ropes were tied to before with a sharp whistle the hyena abandoned their recent prey… “To the bottom of the sea for you…” Corttez growled before with a mighty kick the captain slammed the cannon forward crashing through the wooden railings, the cannon pulled again the one rope attaching it to the boat before that snapped! Down into the sea the cannon fell dragging the helpless Stromgarde soldier along with it, settling on the bottom of the reef, Corttez didn’t even look to see if the rope had snapped his neck or if the man was drowning…
Corttez turned back to the rival captain with the shattered blade, “If ye jump the ship, ye might just live…” Corttez stated glaring at the rival Stromgarde captain. The foolish idiot would not give in, picking up a oar from the deck he readied himself for the end… “Stromgarde is strong…” The rival captain roared trying to whip his crew into a further frenzy… It only half succeeded as several Stromgarde crew had simply abandoned ship making a desperate swim for shore… Corttez merely laughed before with a whistle he sent the hyenas forward with renewed vigor…
Verric lunged with his boarding like at another foolish Stromgarde soldier causing the man to attempt to dodge, it was a hectic thing fighting the Crimson Quell crew, one misstep and the hyena would be on you! Verricc lunged again grazing the soldiers stomach, as Verricc pulled back the barbed blade ripped open the man’s side exposing his organs! That’s all that was needed for the hyenas to go into a frenzy, leaping with renewed vigor it only took one lucky hyena to grab the man’s intestines pulling it from the man’s body cavity! Soon other hyena joined grabbing their piece of the meat and the man was dragged to the ground screaming in agony!!
Verricc could only laugh, a usual trait of Crimson Quell crewmen, being surrounded by cackling hyena did make one begin to take up that habit! Rushing forward Verricc found a hole leading below deck made courtesy of a wild lightning strike, leaping below Verricc landed on the rough wood of the lower deck… It was a mess down here, molten slag that was once cannon and their crew, several other places had just been blown apart… Verricc took a step forward only to have his leg grabbed by someone! Verricc looked down his boarding pike ready, “Help… me…” Came a weak dying voice, the hand was attached to a bloodied broken man, his face covered in his own blood his eyes milky… The man was punctured all over by wooden planters the size of crossbow bolts… Verricc could do nothing for the Stromgarde man, not that he would’ve, so with a quick motion Verricc slipped his pike into the man’s skull ending his suffering cries… Most landlubbers didn’t know a lot of what killed people in a ship to ship battle was the blasted debris from the impact of the cannon balls…
Verricc turned moving on his way before spotting Valenae, she didn’t look to good… Rushing over with determination in his step Verricc moved to catch the women if she fell and help administer whatever it was that she was holding… “Ye look sicker than a dog Valenae, what be that which happened to you?” Verricc asked before noticing the black wound on her side…
Marrc stood on his back legs his bear form a large and imposing sight on the deck of the Crimson Quell, with a swipe of his massive claws the bear of a man sent a Stromgarde archer tumbling to the deck… Arrows jutted from Marrc’s side yet he was unfazed, his thick bark like flesh did not let the arrows pierce any vital organs! Marrc roared commanding the attention of any Stromgarde aboard the Crimson Quell, in their minds they would need to keep a eye on the bear or face the consequences!!
Another arrow struck Marrc, a foolish archer who had not learned what happened to the last man who poked the bear! As thunder buzzed in the air above Marrc charged his massive bear form making loud stomping sounds! Within moment Marrc was upon the foolish man, this time he didn’t use his claws but snapped his bear jaws over the archers left shoulder! With great strength Marrc shook the weak man back and forth like a hyena might play with a chew toy. Marrc could feel the man’s bones snap from force of the trashing before tossing the broken man’s body across the deck to several waiting hyena.
Marrc nearly continued his savage bear rampage when his nose picked up a peculiar scent… Bad meat… Vile scents of sickness… Poison… Many predatory animals could sense when meat was not fit for consumption, to Marrc it helped him smell unfamiliar poisons mostly used against the crew of the Crimson Quell… Marrc stood up on his hind legs taking deeper breaths to smell what he was seeking… Poison… Valenae… The Quell’s Lead Gunner! Charging over towards Nisha barreling through a Stromgarde soldier who tumbled off the deck and into the sea, “I smell poison! Mixed with Valenae’s scent!” Marrc roared as the two crew members with a particular magic for healing they might be needed if there wasn’t a antidote nearby…
Sericon heard Izzabelle’s words of desolation, that wasn’t entirely what he himself saw… The nether was the epitome of chaos and time… The original birth place of demons but in many ways hopelessly abandoned given Sargeras’s dark crusade, a perfect place for whatever the Master had in mind. Though Sericon’s brow furrowed as he sensed Izzabelle’s unease…
Sericon crossed his arms, “No need to be sorry, I did this because I had too, I would do it again without hesitation. There is not or ever has been something wrong with you.” Sericon said, he stood strong ready to be Izzabelle’s shield and bonded even now.
Sericon uncrossed his arms and moved towards Izzabelle, “I am still the same elf, I still know all these spells and incantations… I just…” Sericon extended one of his hands and concentrated hard… Fel flames began to appear in his hand merely lining the inside of his palm… “That is supposed to be much larger… At least drake sized… But it’s not all bad…” Sericon said unsheathing his blade from his back, as soon as the elf touched the hand of fel flames to the swords handle the weapon lit up! Fel flames danced across the swords blade… Sericon focused his eyes on the blade, the Fel fire dying away to be replaced by a roiling swirl of dark magic, then finally with one more show of ability Sericon changed the magic covering the blade to that of pure chaos… “The master has ways of making one useful again… These weapons take what little I can make and extend to themselves…” Sericon said before Orion appeared on his shoulder…
Izzabelle’s reaction was immediate accidentally spitting out a spider at the timeless feline, Orion being as clever and speedy as he was appeared behind Izzabelle… Sericon furrowed his brow, she had completely forgotten about Orion, “Yes, that is one of the Master’s associates… He talks because like a dragon he doesn’t prefer his true form…” Sericon stated, he gave Orion a look, if he was so timeless why didn’t he know Izzabelle was gonna spit a spider at him.
Sericon now understood what was happening this was a unintentional side effect of whatever they did to Izzabelle earlier. Her bond was strained by knowing who he had been, over what he was know, it mattered not to Sericon inside he was the same elf she would learn that soon enough.
Sericon gave a smile, “This place tends to do that, being the true realm of chaos, it tends to do whatever it wants.” Sericon stated, he had done much research on the place heard stories of visions of the distance reaches the nether could touch, seeing your own future, and the all consuming power of the cosmos unburdened by time… “Don’t worry I’m here to ensure you don’t get to mind fried.” Sericon said with a smile, he reached his hand out to the spider on Izzabelle’s head ready to give it a pet should it let him.
“Aye Captain, we best get to it, them seagulls are waiting.” Miya states with a chuckle. Jumping to the side, just as one of the remaining Stromgarde pirate hunters still on deck, rushes her. Turning his face red with rage he stabs out at her. Laughing Miya jumps back out of the way of the oncoming attack, grinning as the man stumbles forward. Smacking him in the back of the leg with her staff, the man falls to his knees. He sweeps his sword out at Miya’s legs, while pulling out a dagger and stabbing it out at her. Bringing her staff down, Miya blocks the sword swing. Biting her lip to hold back a hiss of pain as the dagger slices into her calf. Bringing the end of her staff up she sends the dagger in his hand flying across the deck of the ship. Feeling the warm blood dripping down her leg into her boot causes her to quiver in disgust. Bringing her foot up she catches the man beneath his chin with her boot sending him sprawling out on his back. As he goes roll back to his feet, she brings her heavy leather boot down onto his lower arm, before shattering his hand with her staff. The man bellows out in pain, “damn pirate scum.” He screams then spits at her.
For a nanosecond everything becomes deathly still, and quiet. It’s as though the universe was having a moment of silence for this doomed individual. Miya freezes she looks and sees the gross slimy saliva running down her robes. In a flurry of blows, she shatters both of the mans knees, his other arm, and one of his shoulders. Kneeling she grabs the mans face with her gloved hand. “You just signed you own death certificate.” She growls before letting loose an arcane blast, that turns his face and skull into ground meat. The look of fear in his eyes just before the spell went off, made her laugh. As the nearly headless corpse is thrown across the deck, she sends a volley of arcana missiles at it. By the time she’s done there’s nothing left of the man, but a large bloody stain splattered across the deck of the doomed vessel.
An arrow wizzes past her shoulder, snapping her head up she sees them. Like roaches she spots at least a dozen men swarming up the ships rigging. In the crows nest are two archers, the one that had fired at her is reloading. The other man fires an arrow at one of the Captains pets. The arrow catches the hyena in its side, it lets out a pained yelp, before a second one catches it in the skull silencing it. As Miya watches the animal fall, she calls blizzard down upon those wretched men in the crows nest. Ice shards, and frozen slivers of rock, rip into crewmen, rigging and the crows nest. Shredding flesh, muscles, and underlying tissue, blood and gore is sent rating down onto the deck below. The two fools in the crows nest are hit the hardest, the blizzard ripping their bodies and their little sanctuary apart. Frozen, and partially frozen bodies fall from the rigging as it’s torn asunder by the snow, ice, and frozen rocks. Striking the deck hard, arms and legs shatter. Looking down at their broken forms Miya grins. It was going to be extremely painful once they thawed out. At least until the died.
Valenae collapses against Verricc as another bout of weakness strikes her. She can hardly feel her lower body now. More black foul smelling blood pours out of her mouth. Her arm feels like it weighs a thousand tons, when she goes to lift it. As Valenae goes to speak more blood gushes from her mouth splashing onto Verricc’s shoulder and chest. The words she tries to speak sound like gibberish, and she quickly losing control of her body. Her good eye is darting rapidly in different directions. Verricc goes to reach for the bottle just as they hear the distinct sound of a gun going off. Valenae tries to scream as both her hand and the flask in it are torn apart by the shot that hits them. Kneeling next to the woman, that the Crimson Quell’s lead gunner just knocked out, is a man. In one hand he is still holding his smoking gun. With the other he is trying to rouse the unconscious woman. Who after being shaken a few times, groggily starts coming around.
One of the men that had come below with Valenae and the others, grabs the cannon next to him. With a laugh the big burly man spins it around so that it’s facing the man that just shot at Valenae, and the Woman who is just starting to come around. Leveling the cannon at the two, he pulls out a pipe. Lighting the pipe up he takes a drag then lights up the wick on the cannon. “Fools, always bringing such small guns to a cannon fight.” He says just as the cannon ball blasts out of the cannon. Striking the wall between the two it explodes. When the dust clears there’s not much left of the wall, floor, ceiling, or the two humans that were once leaned against it.
The only keeping Valenae on her feet is Verricc holding her up. Looking down at the would in her side. He notices that the blackish slime around the cut, is eating away at Valenae’s insides. It’s spreading by the second, leaving a large bloody gaping hole in her. The antidote is now seeping from the shattered bottle not the deck of the Frigate.
