Does even temporal shield block 100% damage done within 6 sec?

many times i noticed that it didn’t prevent 100% damage at all, sometimes only a portion of damage is restored , ( my buff didn’t get dispelled actually) even vs melee classes without dispel abilities

It doesn’t block damage but heals you after it expires for the amount of damage you took while it was active.

Also since it’s a heal anything the reduces healing probably reduces the amount you get back (maledict trinket, mortal wounds, etc…)
