Yep you should make it similar to the arcane bomb thing in retail how it shoots out rlly fast. Make temporal anomoly move much faster and just apply on big shield for everyone it hits. As of right now with how much movement is in the raid, its kind of useless. You can get some shield off here and there but we should consider Reworking this into a little easier of an ability to get shields onto people.
It was useless the moment it was party wide only.
Okay yes and make it raid wide !! so thats MOVE FAST, one big shield for everyone you hit, and raid wide of course. What are we thinkin blizz???
Slow is fine, the bubble is only 150, but party-wide?
Useless.
no slow isnt good. It would get way more utilization if it moved FAST and just gave one big shield to everyone. As of now it gives a 125 dmg shield every 2 seconds for 15 seconds. effectively 7 shields at 125 dmg which would be 875 dmg total. It should just be one big shield for 875 and have it move fast so you could actually hit your whole raid
Do you think your raid is ZOOMING like that to get multiple ticks if you just yeet it across a room?
I can’t think of any situation where that’s really the case.
no im talking about when they are all stationary because were all stacked to bait aoe/ do dmg until we have to move again
this is when we would throw the arcane shield in preparation for the big dmg right before it goes off. Im talking about the act of “throwing out the orb” it should go fast and travel like 30 yards
You want an absorption effect version of divine star. This isn’t that.
I think this would work and be fun/interesting. It should move more like a spell bolt and shield anyone, raid-wide in its path. It could even retain the weird many-small-absorbs mechanic by buffing someone with a 7 stack, 15 sec buff that absorbs 125 per hit. If they are worried about it being raid-wide and stacking mages, launching endless shields to trivialize an encounter, then add a “weakened soul” style debuff so you can’t be shielded with TA again for 45s or whatever.
yeah they could have done so much more with this
