You guys took a really great healing concept and dumped it right in the garbage!!!
Envoker - Preservation has crap for dispels; Cautering Flame is a huge 1min cool-down and Naturalize is a 8 sec cd. The only spell preservation have to keep players alive, for lack of dispels and/or long dispel cds, is temporal anomaly!
The only fun and great thing about Preservation was the kool Temporal Anomaly! Now… it passes by your allies wayyyyyy to fast!! It doesn’t stop or anything!!! It just zooms right on by!!! Now, if you ally friend moves and the anomaly misses them, there’s a big 13 second cool-down!!! Really??? Why??
At least develop a talent so we can choose to slow the anomaly down - travels slower …or a talent that makes the anomaly stop, once it hits a friendly player …or a talent that reduces the cool-down to 8 seconds!!!
so what you are trying to say is, it has the same CD on its basic Dispel as everyone else… and an extra one that does everything including bleed. Fail to see the “lack of dispels” ?
its actually better off, use it correctly and you will be able to keep people up with great ease. AND you will save mana
positioning is key for evoker. Btw its 15seconds. Haste lowers it
Speaking from a M+ perspective, as tonight is Raid night so I’ll see how it goes in a Raiding Environment later, I must admit I do enjoy the new delivery of TA in M+ but currently it’s a big nerf in M+ especially in higher keys.
Fortified a lot of AoE and DoT damage hits like a truck and the old TA being 6 seconds did help insanely get through those healing checks.
Take Ruby Life Pools for example I’m talking 20+ Fortified , so much AoE that’s consistent and unavoidable, Upstairs each Fire Ele DoT melts everyone, both Dragons aswell, Trash before last boss, the old TA helped slow the damage while it wasn’t massively it sure did help.
Personally this change now has pushed the meta even more, you need big dps to kill the mobs quicker then ever to avoid an extra mechanic that usually we could of handled pre change.
Like I said the new delivery of TA took some adjusting on my part but I think they just over did the cd nerf.
I feel like they could of taken so many other routes to balance it out, cap TA echoes limited to 12 so 2 TA worth, Spells can only be in Stasis once.
With such a huge nerf they could of atleast improved the Shield it gives to the first 6 targets.
Mana issues is the Healers problem if they running out of mana because all they do is spam TA that’s on them, mana management is a Healers issue, it’s part of our role.
I think if they capped TA to only applying 12 echoes maximum at any given time and put the cd to 10 seconds it would definitely adjust the issue with us having insane ramp while keeping its effectiveness in M+.
Nozdormus teaching is clearly superior in M+ now, tied especially to our two biggest heals and Dream Breath HoT over shadows a TA + echo + reversion. Especially in high keys.
All they’ve done is make Resonating Sphere now not picked in high keys, they literally just shifted the power into a different talent.
Since we won’t me TAing as much Nozdormus Teaching is now better as we have a quicker cd on our two big heals. Now instead of Nozdormus teaching never being picked it’s just the opposite.
Which in my opinion is bad design, Resonating Sphere should have at least it’s shield provided buffed, so gives us the choice do you want up front burst heals from Nozdormus Teaching or more Shielding and Sustain healing from Resonating Sphere.
Every other healer has a dispel that is the same as Naturalize. Every healer can dispel magic and something else on an 8 second cd. Thanks to Cauterizing Flame, Preservation is the only healing spec in the game that dispel literally everything, and only on a 1 min cd.
