I legit think ret will be best melee tomorrow. Maybe ret and rogue. Insane damage. Can bubble with forbearance. Oh… new LoH is now also the best healer CD in the game now. Did I mention ret can also hit you for a 3 million crit while doing all of this? We ready for another ret/war/fw meta? I’m not. Ig it’s better than afflic/assa splay damp?

The most annoying thing is 20s Forbearance. Atleast if they bop and bubble themself, we can kill their partner. Not every class has purge.

You don’t really need to know much to make ret work and it’s a popular spec in all modes and mmr ranges

Ret is complete garbage rn. No idea why you think it’s sleeper. Maybe its strong at lower ratings but abobe 1800 you never see them.

I’ve had 3 straight 2200 - 2300 lobbies with rets. They are doing top damage and live lording. All three lobbies they 4-2ed or better. You’re wrong.
Brother the 3m crit psyop is nothing to worry about. Getting a lucky crit wont always happen and Hammer of light on fully pvp geared toons does like 1M mostly 800k
Finally most are still olaying herald because the hammer of wrath proc does as much damage as hammer of light lmfao. Just insane
For an offmeta spec to climb that high you need to be a good player - thats why. It was a skill issue for your lobbies.

Ret in blitz and solo still just flop around until their defensive run out and then die. Ret cannot be effective with their current toolkit requiring more melee range they are too easy to kite for almost any caster.

Ret is ok in solo shuffle because the high dampening makes their useless padding damage not so useless
They are still useless in normal 3’s

Templar just give them the kill potential they lack in Herald.
But I wouldnt say Ret is insane when the other melees are better
Keep in mind that whatever hero spec you choose as ret, you will look good standing in the pre-Q grouping. And that’s really half tha battle I hear.
