Tempest should replace lava burst

for elemental at least, tempest should replace lavaburst and combine it’s current functionality with that of lava burst. and flame shock should be replaced with something like thunder shock. currently stormbringer doesn’t even use anything fire and has wasted talent points that do nothing because of it. This would make those points useful aagin.

I think elemental would benefit more from having Tempest replace Earth Shock. I think it fits much better as a spender than a builder.

Either that change or have it change Chain Lightning too. Having it change both Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning would be a great QOL change. What I did also notice that AFTER you cast it, you get a GCD. So you need to stop to cast it, then get a damn GCD after it cast, it feels super bad.

If the goal of the stormbringer hero spec is to dive full on into the storm caster theme, then I agree. Tempest should replace lava burst and maybe even flame Shock could be replaced by static shock or storm shock or something similar.

Tempest is a gorgeous spell and I’d be 100% for it replacing earth shock. It’d feel waaaay more impactful.

I would love if tempest replaced lava burst, but have it do something slightly different, like in addition to it doing the cleave damage, have it apply a dot to the main target that “bounces” to other targets when it gets hit with chain lightning, and causes an increase in nature dmg taken.

Then give us a talent that changes earthshock and earthquake to do stormstrike dmg (nature and physical) and give them some lightning and/or effects.

This would make stormbringer feel much more like they are storm focused, instead of now where you still are only using lightning spells mostly as filler.

It doesn’t benefit from anything that benefits Lightning Bolt so people are just using /cancelaura macros to get rid of Tempest because it’s worse than just casting Lightning Bolt.
