Hey guys,
I’ve been farming Ashes of Al’ar for quite some time and have recently found something pretty frustrating and I feel like I’m losing my mind because I’m sure this is not normal.
Every time I kill Kael’thas and disconnect and jump to the next character, after a day or so, these characters will spawn back at Stormwind/Orgrimmar at the embassy. I’m 100% sure when I did this my characters would spawn right outside Tempest Keep, so I’ve had had to fly all the way back to Tempest Keep with each one of my alts. Is this normal now? Am I misremembering things? This has slowed down my farming by a lot and I remember being able to just disconnect inside the dungeon and next week when trying again spawn back outside.,
Set your hearth to Cosmowrench just below Tempest Keep and you’ll never have to worry.
Cosmowrench doesn’t actually have an inn keeper, so the nearest hearth point is the Stormspire.

Well, that’s what I get for trusting my memory.
FWIW, OP, I don’t remember any time where you could log out and stay logged out within an instance. At lockout reset, I’m pretty sure it has to move you someplace. I would have expected that to be either your hearth or the nearest GY.
Also, on a monk, DK, or druid, you can use the class teleport at the end of the raid, then use it again to teleport back to the instance entrance.
The next BC timewalking is after TWW launch so the max level will be reset by then, but I farmed mine doing Illidan skips for the Disturbance Detected quest on all of my max-level characters in Dragonflight. You can usually find groups doing the skip to Illidan in the group finder. The mount has a chance to drop from the cache and was way less annoying to me than farming the raid. If you are still having bad RNG and find yourself with a group of max level characters, give it a go when it’s up (as long as they keep the gear cache going into the next expansion). Hopefully you will get it before then, though!
Not only that but mounts from the TW raid caches have a higher chance to drop compared to their original source.
Come on Blizzard, give us timewalking raids for the other expansions.

Yeah it’s great. I looted Invincible from my first Yogg cache. I also got the Rag Firelands mount and two Dragon Soul mounts from the Ragnaros caches, and the Infinite Timereaver from the Illidan cache.
