Tell me the story about the best trolling you've ever done in WoW

##WALL OF TEXT WARNING##
My buddies and I were reminiscing about past expansions earlier and a funny story came up.

During BC & WotLK I was a major troll on my server. My antics were pretty well-known and while I had tons of friends on the server that enjoyed my shenanigans, there were some people that could not stand me.

The GM of one guild in particular absolutely hated my guts and that became a well-known fact on the server. Any time I tried to join a group that she was in, she would either leave it, or if she was leading it, refuse to invite me. Stuff like that (and worse) happened all throughout BC and into WotLK.

Fast forward to the end of Ulduar/beginning of ToC days in WotLK. The guild that my friends and I were in ended up disbanding after getting 3 tree Freya & Firefighter and we ended up looking for a new guild.

We were in one of the top guilds on the server, well geared and experienced, so finding a new guild wasn’t really an issue. We finally decided on a guild, but before we joined I needed to go undercover–the guild we had decided to join was ran by the aforementioned GM who hated my guts and we all knew she would never invite me to her guild.

I ended up swapping to my DK and joining on him and used a different name that the GM did not know me by. It wasn’t easy, but all of my friends somehow managed to avoid calling me by my mains name and blowing my cover, this went on for months. My friends and I actually ended up advancing to officer & raid leader positions and basically taking over leadership of the guild for the most part.

About 6 months or so after joining the guild a group of us, including the GM who hated me, were all casually doing Wintergrasp and chatting in Ventrilo when someone brought up “that damn troll” that the GM hated, wondering what had happened to him because he hadn’t been seen on the server for quite a while.

After about 10 minutes worth of them chatting about me and telling stories about stuff that I had done in the past and why they hated me I simply couldn’t take it anymore. I finally came clean and told them exactly who I was and even logged into my original main to prove it.

My DK was immediately kicked from the guild.

After about 30 minutes worth of chatting back and forth with the GM who hates my guts she finally said told me I shouldn’t have lied to her in order to join the guild. I explained to her that I never lied, I joined on my DK and nobody ever asked me who my main was.

And that is how I got a GM to make a special question on their guild application that was “Are you Turack?” (my original mains name).

there was that time me and a friend liquidated a mythic raid guild’s bank and made hella cash, but that’s less trolling more just ruining people’s fun

People love the Brutosaur. I mount up and kick off the 2NPCs.
“Free Dino rides” I shout. 2 people mount. I suicide all 3 of us over a ledge or something.
Love it

Hmm. I don’t recall ever trolling in-game. In fact, my first toon was a rogue, and after witnessing a poor soul dying in WPL, I rolled a priest to make sure that I could help anyone in trouble.

See Blizzard these players are the examples of the toxicity in your game and the consequences of you not taking action to perma ban them from the game. These same trolls are the ones that want master looting back so they can ninja loot.

You call it toxicity, I call it having a good time.

Excuse me, but I said that I’ve never trolled in this game before.

Yea, because ninja looting from guilds, stealing from their banks, and trolling others who came to WOW to escape from their problems by adding onto them sure makes for a great game environment.

Naw dawg, ninja looting and stealing is not cool. Screwing with people and just general shenanigans are fun.

Your post states tell me a story about your best “troll”. Ninja looting and stealing is considered trolling and is done by trolls.

I only troll friends, for the most part. I do have a vulpera with a possibly trollish name though.

I don’t consider stealing to be trolling my bearded little friend. If you wanna steal from people you should probably go suck-start a shotgun imo.

I don’t get it, that whole original post wasn’t actual about any trolling, but just about some random guild drama…

Bro it was the best guild drama. I just want people to share their trollin’ stories with me.

Are you confusing the term “troll” with “prank”?

I’ve told this before, but what I like to do is create a level one character and send it some bags and 100g or so.

Then I park that character between a vendor and a mailbox (has to be an armour or wep vendor) and send my victim thousands upon thousands of level one swords or armour pieces, clogging their mailbox.

And then I delete that character so they can’t simply return the mail.

Back in the early days of LFR (LFR Throne of Thunder Ji-kun) you couldn’t be kicked if you were in combat right. So I was getting heat from the raid because I think I pulled some trash during the hydra fight. So the group starts yelling at me saying they were going to kick me… I get in combat and keep pulling trash to make myself unkickable. I shoot the final snail (instant kill if it touches you so the raid has no choice but to fight it otherwise they will all die. I run through like 12 packs of trash and jump on Ji-kun (the last boss in that wing)

When you pull Ji-kun in LFR it pulls everyone in the raid to his platform and the trash in the hallway before drops aggro. So in essence I kept 24 other people stuck in combat for like 15 minutes and won a roll for a tier piece I think. I thought it was freaking hilarious how mad they got when I forced them through the raid against their will muhahaha.

I never troll in game but I troll on forum regularly.

Except that one time I carried those infected corpse in Uldum and threw them into the ocean.

You know, the special event where you have to bring those corpses to the bonfire?

I found out that you can carry those corpse all the way to Orgrimmar, I carried one and left it in Orgrimmar’s portal room before running away from those guards.

I save my snark for the forums.

i don’t like to think about those old days of trying to be edgy and trolly, it lets me disassociate with the memelords of today

most of my worst things have been done on halo
