This applies to Mage Teleports, Portals, and hub portals to Undercity. At random it seems to place me into the blight bombed version and I die within seconds. It should be taking me right next to Zidormi.
The upside is, it takes you to a graveyard where the spirit healer can just rez you automatically so you don’t have to spirit rez.

Edit - Modified title to reflect that this is STILL an issue in 11.0.5, with more and more portals appearing to break as well. What’s it gonna take Blizzard?!

Wait was this not happening for people? I just figured it was on purpose cause the actual undercity part is still bombed, no? lol I tried once to see if I’d die, died, then never gave it another thought.
I think if you used the portal after the blight it would send you to brill or something. Like the darnassus one would send you to ruins of lordamore.
Now it just straight up trolls you. And much more fatally then the ancient dalaran one.

Did this patch break literally everything?
I just got killed by the portal too. It’s supposed to put me out in Tirisfal Glades by Zindormi, not in Undercity.

Ported in from Org on three toons today for Scholo farming. 2/3 died to random effects.
I just took the portal from Orgrimmar to Undercity and was killed instantly inside Undercity. It was so shocking that it destroyed any interest I had in continuing to play the game. I just decided to log out and stop playing. What the hell is going on, geez!

Has there been an update on this? Been trying to get with a blizz rep but haven’t found an answer or work around yet.

If it helps the work around that I used was talking to Zidormi outside Undercity and changing it back to the old Undercity, and that allowed me to Teleport to the old city instead of it being filled with the blight.
“Your Recent Catastrophe hit You 5,138,939 Magic.” That’s what killed me when I used the Org portal to Undercity.
Just happened to me when trying to do the Brewfest quest. Zidormi isn’t giving me the option to turn back time either.

I never played bfa but I am playing dragonflight. Neither Darn nor Lordaeron is phased/destroyed.
I have occasionally noticed an NPC in moonlight near the entrance to Lordaeron but she is not there now.
You likely won’t see these changes to Undercity until you’ve done the opening quest for BFA, since this takes place right before you head out to those islands.

Actually, you get an autoaccept quest to do a Lordaeron restoration. It takes maybe 40 min to an hour. At the conclusions, portals appear in the UC courtyard and Zidormi is willing to switch timelines for you. Thanks for your answer!

I found that either Zidormi is not there at all, but if there, she has no dilogue options. I had to complete the “Call to Lordaeron” chain of quests before she gave me the option to time-change UC.
Then even if you switch to the old timeline, the orgrimmar portal takes you to “new” lordaeron after you’ve done the quest chain to clear the blight so you have to talk to her again.
Yet, after switching to old UC I took the silvermoon portal from its original location on the r side as you enter the ruins, then took it back, I was in the old UC but it has a green fog (nontoxic) on the top. Once in the UC everything is normal EXCEPT the FP from the UC does not work.
I had a similar problem after tw’ing Theramore after its destruction. Amazing that after all these years and this problem persists in tw.
I did Lordaeron restoration; it changed nothing.
You won’t get the old UC, being Alliance. I don’t think Alliance can get the option to change to the old UC.
But you can get the old Darnassus. The dragon lady is in darkshore just inland from where you teleport in.
Horde who did the sequence and completed the “Welcome to Zandalar” sequence should get her.
If you’ve done this and still no luck, try using one of the portals to leave the area (I went to Silvermoon). When I returned, she was there. Some players have reported having to change to the “present” and then the “past.”
This just happened to me. Was trying to do the Brewfest crap, and found the portal to UC to kill some pink elephants when I ported into UC only to find it deserted and kill me within seconds. Not even time enough to hearth out. If it is intentional it is a pretty jerkish move for the mages of Orgrimar to keep this thing open when it is just there to kill anyone foolish enough to use it.
