Teldrassil was burned.. When do we

finally go back to see the entirety of the damage done by the burning? Why wasn’t Teldrassil used as a dungeon or raid? Just because it was burnt, doesn’t mean you can’t still walk on the land considering the size. Does anyone else want to see us go back and witness the true madness of the Horde?

Not really. I rather we just get out of BfA ASAP.

It’s just a crispy stump of a tree now. By the looks of it Darnassus seems to be totally eradicated, like only half of Teldrassil remains.

No. I’d rather not see the aftermath. I already hate Sylvanas. It’ll be for the best to just look forward.

We’re gonna turn it into a den.

I want them to make an actual burnt tree stump then this 2d backdrop we got.

Heck, why not make it one of the end zones like timeless isle? or one of the Island expeditions? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Anything would’ve been better then just a 2D backdrop.

Teldrassil.

Of all the screw-ups Blizzard made with BfA, that’s the biggest one for me. Nobody gave a hoot about Undercity, but even on the Horde we had mad respect for that tree. What a complete waste.

The Emerald Nightmare will use the ashes and the mournful dead of the tree, to take root there and begin to grow.

Frankly, I wish that we could have experienced this event as players in game rather than having it relegated to a short pop up video.

Giant nightmare tree. Metal.

(Commentary): It’d be interesting if all the people tracking down Sylvanas ended up meeting on Teldrassil. Unfortunately that bit of story seems to be unfolded in the upcoming novel.

Considering we are still seeing ashes flying around in the air, even in Outland and Draenor, I’d guess they’d better put out the fire first.

Why?

Why would we ever go back to a defunct, terribly designed city to see the tortured remains of a people who never received any attention from the dev team before they were burned to death?

Why would we ever want a massive, multi-level set of dungeons based around the tormented souls of a dying people used to possibly explore who and what the night elves were before the tragedy of war irrevocably changed them as a people?

Who would ever want to explore a burned out world tree in a series of raids themed and designed around the five stages of grief, ending in a cyclical narrative that would allow the hurt peoples of the night elves to finally begin to heal, and maybe find signs of new life, or some such, that could possibly give hope to those who otherwise feel lost, alone, and abandoned?

Definitely not me. /s

You haven’t figured this out yet?

Teldrassil wasn’t burned for the faction war or for the story. It was burned so that Blizzard could take a zone full of people and turn it into a horizon, because that’s less work to do.

Same with Undercity. They don’t care about story. Less zones to maintain = less work for lazy devs.

What if a druidic order was able to remake the tree? That would pay Sylvanas back. The alliance needs some sweet revenge also. I say attack silvermoon city, put the already broken blood elves out of their misery. Hahaha. Lol

Literally seething like an orc cringe roleplayer detected

It still exists with time-walking, so they still need to maintain it.

That’s another thing that has gotten old. Instead of putting a pre-expansion events in place, they time and again put major lore-moments in a book and expect players to shell out even more cash for it. For all it’s faults, at least BFA had the War of Thorns. Could of been better but at least we got that.
