Discord is much much better. You have better voice quality as well as a lot of customization through the use of both text and voice.
And most importantly, it’s free.
TS3, Mumble, and Ventrilo were good for their time but you’re actively trolling if you’re using that stuff in 2021 when Discord made them and Skype all completely obsolete.
Not anymore! Discord’s more likely to go public since they very recently ended talks with Microsoft.
Actually, most of the top guilds have went back to TS 3 because of recent discord issues and they have control over their own servers lol.
It was only the old Method IIRC (and Echo might?), and only because they were getting paid big bucks to shill for TS3.
I haven’t heard of a single other top guild switching to Teamspeak 3 lately.
We almost went back, Discord was having major issues a few months ago.
Super delayed, disconnects, the works. And I know limit has as well, because in comms in one of the streams you I heard some of the announcements that only come with either TS3 or mumble (so and so has left the channel and disconnected)
Most of them at least run both a discord and an external, because you have zero control over Discord servers, if they go down during RTWF you need a backup.
Nothing was more annoying than 10 people trying to talk at once and the 2-4 people who kept their mics open and all you heard was constant buzzing or the edgy 16 year old who blared their music because they thought they’d get cool points or something.
Discord is miles better than those two ever were.
I only use discord for WoW when required, otherwise i dont use it.

Especially with how easily you see peoples discord logs being leaked, ect.
Well, anything you type can easily be leaked by the person you typed them to. So just don’t talk to anyone you don’t trust.
Or even been, don’t talk about things worth leaking lol.
Yeah I asked the same question as to why everything arma is TS. Apparently most mods are integrated with TS so it’s a requirement for then to work.
A lot more user friendly, free for people to use and above all very platform friendly. Both teamspeak and vent just simply became outdated is all, I know people very rarely use either still, yet discord is just newer, better and easier to use.
Nothing, they’re still around and people do still use them.
Discord is 1000% better. It does everything and more! And its free. No need to pay like for vent. They do have a sub option for access to games or something but its optional and doesn’t hinder your use of it at all.

I actually found one of these people on reddit a few weeks ago. It was a post relating to gaming and people were telling him it wasn’t cool. I said so too and how that was one of the most annoying public lobby type people and he said “I just wanted to share my music”. This was relating to open-public GTA 5 lobbies btw.
It was perfectly fine for group quests and dungeons, but garbage for raiding.
I really wish more RBG groups used in-game voice comms.

Discord is basically a Social Media app with good Voice Chat. It also has free servers and it’s super easy for anyone to understand how to use.
Vent and teamspeak were horribly outdated with no competing features. Discord is better in every way.
