Am I just remembering wrong? I thought they were always BoP? You turned in the code or w/e and u got the item as a reward

some are tradable, some arent gotta view the list of all of them, some mounts are where as others arent

Blizzard wants to reward veteran players that had the items back in the day, not someone who bought the item from the BMAH or a dupe 10 years later. If you had the codes claimed on your account at the time of the xpac you should be detected by the system to receive the loot.

They dont use retail to check the collectors editions btw, so the same will be said about TCG if it happens.

TCG codes where not stored tho, you used the cod eon the card on the web site to get another code you used in game that gave you the item on the server you pick.

I thought they changed that quick because that was what was causing all the dupes. When I used my pet and Owned Flag codes I used the code on the card in game at the dude in BB.

That is my memory of it I could be wrong.

i feel like the tcg loot is a monetization opportunity for blizzard to dump it in a classic store since they did exist in the game.

The thing with CEs though is that it was directly linked to your account from the start. I dont know how much the system would “hold on” to the code after you entered it granting access. I assume not much since that is what dupping exploits.

Agreed. They need to monetize the game in a way that does not effect the game. People need to understand that. TBH I would have stood inline to buy a box at the Gamestop again.

Hmm how about this idea:

When you create a character, you get an option to put one or all of your TCG items on that character and once you do that, you can’t use that item again. So for example you put your Swift Spectral Tiger on your Hunter, your Spectral Tiger on your Warlock and the Red Bearon on your Warrior. Then once you do that, the mount is there. You delete the toon? You lose the mount. Want to put all three of those mounts on one character? Done but that’s a permanent decision.

Wouldn’t that satisfy the “#NoChange” crowd?

I’m not sure what you mean. One code = one reward on one character. That’s how it’s always been.

Classic has no cash shop. They already stated that’s one of the things they know Classic players dont want

Also, these items were pretty big, and still are. It’s highly doubtful they would have you re-enter the codes (as basically no1 still has them), and they would get too much blowback from trying to re-sell them to us again, so I think logically we will get them. I wish a blue would post on this subject tho. They already mention collector’s edition pets, but imo these are a bigger deal

I’d like my Murky, and my Netherwhelp.

If the stars align and we get access to the TGC loot we have associated with our accounts, I’ll enjoy having my hippogryph hatchling and spectral tiger too.
