The great vault is only bad because of the stupid domination shard system. That is the real failure of this tier - having all the gear you earn in M+ being pointless because raid gear has 2% damage bonuses attached to it.
Fully 6 gear slots are taken up by legendaries and domination slots now.
Coming from legion, BFA m+ was too easy. It’s nice to have dynamic content and better boss fights.
And I think the target cap is more a mindset than an actuality. We aren’t doing massive BFA cheese pulls anymore so it doesn’t matter too much. I actually think blizzard made the right decision with the aoe cap. The pulls are more interesting now.
I’m enjoying this season. I do wish blizz would add 1-2 dungeons each season. The new mythic dungeon is good and all, but I’d prefer 1-2 dungeons over the one mega. My preference would be 2-4 new dungeons each season.
The only thing harder about legion m+ was the unavoidable 1 shots, and doing big pulls is generally the fun part of m+, the current pulls aren’t more interesting at all.
Necrotic and Spiteful is the most trash combination to deal with, especially in Mists where you have to wait for them to despawn to progress through the maze. Tanks can’t do giga pulls like last week due to necrotic and then you have to deal with spitefuls.
I ran 40 timed keys last week and I’m only going to do 4 this week.
I guess you weren’t around for bolstering explosive.
I mean… You don’t HAVE to wait for them to despawn they are killable after all. In mists and spires specifically Spiteful creates a little different of a time sink, but 2/8 isn’t that big of a deal.
As a tank, I’ll be pulling the same size as I did on raging week. Necrotic doesn’t matter if you’re mitigating damage and only have to tank the pull for 30s. It’s more of an annoyance for healers, but healers hold just save mana when a tank reaches 25-30 stacks. If I wasn’t busy this week, I’d definitely be tanking a bunch of keys.
I actually had spiteful hitting me at a pretty large range when it spawned on stairs. Doesn’t seem like their hit box takes uneven ground into consideration. They have too much HP imo. Necrotic isn’t awful. Tanks just need to reset it better.
No, tier sets are preferred. But tier sets take the place of borrowed power systems. In legion, having 2 sets from nighthold and 4 sets from tomb was amazing and made older raid content relevant and fun to farm. This was a welcomed break from mythic plus. You can’t depend on one type of content to fulfill all your gear needs. Thats never how the game has been maximized.
