TBC - Will paid boosts have max professions?

And I disagree with that. Level up like the rest of us. Retail has boosts. Play that if you don’t want to level.

Great don’t buy one.

No thanks, I will instead pay to skip that process if it is a service offering blizzard will facilitate. I mean I have a level 60 warrior and I am currently chipping away at a druid and warlock… but Ill boost one of them (maybe booth if they remove the 1 per account restriction).

I do play retail, currently 1 night a week for raids. Retail has levelling periods too you cant skip them.

Honestly when both sides of the discussion can be summed up as
Pro: “thank you blizzard yes that is a service I would willingly pay you to provide so I can better enjoy the game” to
Nay:“I don’t want anyone else to have nice things, they should have to suffer like I have” … its really an easy choice for blizzard to make.

This is a transaction between me and blizzard butt out.

Leveling is incredibly easy in TBC. They nerf xp by 30%. You can quote me all day telling me what you are going to do. I do not care what you are going to do. Boosts should not be in classic. You telling me why you like it does not justify it for me.

I do play retail

And there is the problem. You play trash games.

Of course you played the best class in classic and now you want to boost the two best TBC classes that were not great in classic? lol… Meta much?

Yeah, and anyone who is only playing because of the boosts will just quit.

It’s a ploy to get money. They know these people don’t actually like the game enough to play it, but encouraging them to spend money so they can not play it gets them a huge boost of temporary subs and service fees.

It’s like the terrible mobile games that purposely make the experience terrible but offer a paid service to skip it. “You have to wait 3 days to unlock your next X. Or pay us $5 for 400 crystals, which unlocks it immediately!”

You answered what the boost does; you did not answer why we need that.

If I want to skip the raiding process and get full BiS, why don’t we just have Blizzard sell me the gear?

“I don’t want to do it” is not a valid reason for letting people pay to not do it.

What a stupid argument.

“If you don’t like abortion, just don’t get an abortion. Easy!” So dumb. We don’t think it should exist AT ALL. No one should have that option. Just because we have the option not to partake doesn’t make it acceptable.

We can tell.

Vanilla content is a part of TBC…and you shouldn’t just be able to skip it.

Blackmarket auctionhouse and legacy raid clearing allow for this… also players sell raid gear to other players (we routinely did this back in original when we had BWL/AQ gear we sold MC gear… its nothing new).

The line I draw is that its pay to skip, not pay to win (its subtle but hear me out)… the product is TBC (not vanilla), being able to get access to TBC is what I am willing to pay for. Being able to pay to advance THROUGH TBC while TBC is relevant I don’t agree with.

Can we at least find common ground that there is a distinction between those two things? Even if you disagree with both?

EXCTLY!!! You presume to have the moral (or other) authority to tell other people what they can and cannot have. That is what I take issue with.

As long as my enjoyment of the game does not have an otherwise avoidable, negative impact to you, I should be allowed to boost.

No it isnt, TBC is a completely separate land mass that does not integrate into the vanilla game, there is a clear distinction from 60-70 which is TBC. 1-60 is vanilla.

There is no 1-60, 60-70.

It’s just 1-70.

there is a 1-60… log on to classic wow, it is literally the game that exists now.

60-70 is what will be launching soon… if there is no 1-60 as you say there would be no way to transition characters… in fact that is probably a fair argument, if there are no boosts there should be no transfer of vanilla characters to TBC.

Vanilla characters are not transferring to TBC, the entire server is with everything in it. So you are not only wrong, you are terribly wrong. Mini is right, it will be 1-70 for a new player joining a “TBC” server.

Bingo!!! The entire server is changing hence the level boost.

Yeah… Except for me (anyone else) who will buy a level boost and you literally have no sway otherwise.

Look, I am not all unsympathetic to your point of view. If they offered me a fresh server 1-70, I would take that option but that is not on offer so level boost is the next best option for me.

you already said in a thread you created you’ll be unsubbing because of it so should you really get a say in it?

i hear that there are some pservers where you can do just that:O)

it would be beyond funny to me if they update SIlvermoon and the Space Goat Islands to allow you to fly there but not retail.

no profs, unless the toon has profs already, they stay at their current lvl upon boosting.

Because some classes are annoying to level up in classic, but more importantly because blizzard is trying to recup some of the expenses of doing this old content.

And if you don’t want to use the boost, guess what you don’t have to.

There is no evidence at this time to support this.

It’s literally in a dev interview.

What do you get or do in Vanilla content that matters in TBC? What can a single player do leveling in the Classic world on a post TBC server that has any affect on playing in TBC?
