A hypothetical for the TBC dreamers out there…
My question is this, where does Blizzard start the server?
-Does the majority want a fresh TBC server, where we all start from level 1?
-A progression server, that evolves from Classic, like we got in 2021? This would REALLY extend our wait time to getting back to our beloved Outland, but if it means confirmed TBC, I’ll bite…
-Maybe some kind of boosted hybrid, where people start at 58 apart from Alliance Shamans and Horde Paladins? Yes, this one is far fetched, just throwing ideas out there…
Or something else entirely? Would love to hear some ideas!

Agreed, nothing else makes sense … I expect if the OP plays retail he buys boosts to get to ‘the real game’ as well.

I wouldn’t mind a fresh TBC server from level 1, even if it’s just one server. They could even do the faction balance system from SoD for pvp servers. The only problem is, I doubt blizz would do it without some sort of boost system. I had a horde mage in TBC classic and made absolute bank selling SFK runs for no charge yet people were tipping me like 20g a run.

I would time gate it.
Start from 1 with TBC talents.
Shift the difficulty of the raids and add things to make them more difficult, with obviously Naxx being as is.
I would add a minimum fire resistance to be needed to be inside MC without taking fire damage.
Time gate the Rank grind so that Rank14 would only be available with AQ40.
Then basically into TBC as usual.
I would do this so that the people who want fresh release content would get something as well.

The TBC Client is already made we used it in 2021 and its ready to use, all the company has to do is Fire up a VPS server and get 10 million dollars a month of subscription for the shareholders steady stream of income without drama… Classic players gladly pay none stop for TBC. Not like Retail player base community with their cancel subs culture… Give us Classic players Burning Crusade immediately Blizzard so your hare holders get money every month steady without any drama!

What ruined last TBC for me was it wasn’t fresh. Everyone brought over 10k+ gold and everyone had epic flyers and could afford everything. Economy was jacked from the get go. Have to start it fresh at level 1 or will just be crap again.

Technically, there’s never been a “fresh” TBC launch. 2007 and 2021 were both carry-overs from classic. So a fresh TBC would be new territory.
It would be extremely interesting to see what the economy would be like with the only thing carrying over from Classic being the things levelers bring to outland themselves.
There would be NO MATS on the auction house to help you level up your professions, these materials would be extremely valuable, especially for the people rushing to 70. Would create an interesting divide between people leveling their profs as they go, versus going back after hitting level cap…

Well a lot of people are pining for vanilla fresh. What would get more people on board with that would be the promise of progression from there. Would also get more people on board with the TBC fresh as well.

It’s not that simple.
One it’s not going to make them that much money. Two they have to weigh in whether it’s worth splitting the base up with another client. Detracting players from one client causes even more players to quit
I highly doubt no more than 5% of the current population would resub for tbc.

Would have to be fresh in my eyes, everyone starting at level 1. Doesn’t have to be anything too complicated, just give us a handful of fresh TBC, phase it, don’t phase it, who cares.

Honestly, just ONE server Blizz. Give us a PVE server, those that want to PVP can toggle it on. Those that want to RP can join RP guilds. One single PVE server where everyone starts fresh would take the least amount of resources and has the best chance of being greenlit.
