TBC Timewalking Removed

Blizzard why did you remove TBC timewalking after delaying it? It was scheduled to happen on December 1st and you have now removed it completely, with the next event being WotLK timewalking in late December. This puts the next TBC timewalking around March. Why is there no comment on this, and why was it removed in the first place? I want to get my warglaive transmog for the start of Shadowlands.

Because they don’t want anything interfering with the launch.

I can understand the delay of it, but it just skipped it entirely and the next one is wrath. some of us were waiting for the TBC TW vendor

Easier to skip the event than shift around the entire schedule of everything else.

This is the correct answer. The fact that BC was simply removed is likely an oversight though, once Blizz takes notice they’ll probably correct the TW order. I’m pretty sure they’ve done it in the past, at least.

To be honest the TW requirement for warglaive transmog should just be removed entirely like every other legendary.

Because the ilvl gear will be as high as dungeons and they don’t want people getting easy gear the second week of the launch

Nah, I mean like pushing the order of TW events back by one, so the late-December TW is BC instead of Wrath, then the order resumes as usual, with Wrath being after that, etc.

100% agree they should remove the requirement for timewalking to get the warglaives of azzinoth xmog. That would be an olive branch to the people (i’m certain we are at least in the hundreds) who have been waiting months, for a shot at getting the xmog after collecting the glaives. I dont even care about the associated feat of strength/achievement. Take it away if you must for the timewalking and let the ones who earned it from events keep it. Please just let us xmog it already.

They have delayed the timewalking BC TWICE. Then they outright cancelled it and think an apology will have to do. I just checked the calendar and as things stand we are not getting timewalking BC anytime soon. If anyone locates it please feel free to share. But it is really pedestrian and inconsiderate to make people have to wait for xmog locked behind a sporadic event when none of the other legendaries get this treatment. Why Blizzard?!!! There isn’t even a timeline for when we will get TW BC again, and from what I’ve read from other blizzard blue posts they will not fix the event schedule. So we’re essentially being told “sorry we delayed it and now cancelled it, wait around for whenever to try again”. Wut?!

I just don’t understand why there’s been no blue post about it yet.

I am also an individual waiting on this timewalking event and I am so frustrated that is has been cancelled with no reschedule date or post about it…

I just find it hilarious how there are other posters defending blizzard’s actions in other threads saying “they can’t reschedule it, it’s set in stone”.

Oh yeah? Then how did they delay it so many times and even have events back in june-july 2020 where all the TW events were literally back to back. Someone had to plan it and enter it into the calendar. There isn’t some set schedule that’s unchangeable. The fact that they wouldn’t have the flexibility to schedule an event like that at will seems inconsistent with previous events.

And it will look bad on Blizzard if they take the easy way out. They caused the issue, they should fix it.

It’s a small hiccup in the greater scheme of things. Does it suck? Sure. Maybe they may get it fixed before the weekly events kick back in. Maybe they won’t. With a little over a day left before Shadowland’s drop, this is probably on the low end of their priorities. Get past that and maybe something can and will be done.

But right now I am pretty sure (conjecture, of course) all of the staff’s focus is to try and ensure the drop goes as smoothly as possible, and to prepare for what issues might arise before people start taking up their pitchforks to start demanding refunds and compensation.

They had enough focus to take it off the calendar, they can spare a bit of focus to explain why it wasn’t just delayed to be before the WotLK timewalking event. I’ve been waiting since august to do a black temple run and unlock my transmog. We accepted it when they delayed the event a month, we’re less willing to take it on the chin when it’s off the calendar entirely. Based on the current pattern of timewalking, the next open spot on the calendar is April 20-26, 2022 For reference, the last one was June 23-29, 2020. 10 months.

i wish they would just collapse them all into 1 Time Walking event really, and when you que for Random TWing it just can throw you in any dungeon from any of the previous expansions. and let you que with a group for Twing+ with slightly more difficult versions and then let you pick which expansion to do.

That 10 month stretch is an irregularity. Obviously not the norm. As soon as they start putting the weekly events back into circulation, it won’t take nearly that long again with the rotation in place as it normally runs. They just won’t be up for a week or two at the very least to give people time to enjoy the new content.

You need to work for that achievement like the rest of us did. Though, every month they should allow you to choose the TW event you want. Only problem I see, if there’s not enough people that choose TBC and you’re stuck in queue. Or Blizz can do a mass vote for that server when you log in and that decides what wins for the month.

Yeah I planned on buying rep tokens for netherwing before they delayed it to hit 100 exalted reps. Ended up just grinding another one due to the shenanigans. I’d be miffed if I didn’t have other options like the glaive folks.

You care too much about this. It is not a big deal. Relax and find something worth getting this upset about. Maybe some RL stuff. All this does is prevent you from looking at slightly different colored pixel. It really shouldn’t matter this much to you. It’s an issue that it does. Be better, get RL hobbies and realize this is a video game
