TBC server population too low

I returned to Wow Classic a few months ago. I decided to stay on the server Ashkandi because I thought all the servers were the same or at least similar. Now that I’m level 70, I understand that there is not a lot of player on this server. So I decided to look on the net if I can see server population. I’m really angry. I’m paying almost 20$ Per month to play on a server that has less than 1500 players on the alliance side. That’s unacceptable. Some servers got +19000 players. That’s more than 12x the population. So, I said to myself: “They should merge some servers together. But, it could be long before doing that. So, Hey! Just pay for a server swap!”. I thought it was 5$-10$ max. My surprise when I see the price: 36$!!! Really!?!? Clearly, I won’t pay this for my “error” of choosing a server that has “medium” population. This is NOT a “medium population” server. When you got more than 12 times less players compare to a “high population” server, you can say that’s a very low pop server. So, I have two questions: 1- Is there any merge coming soon? 2- Do you really think I’m gonna continue to pay near 20$ per month to restart a new character on another server to be able someday to make some reputation run relatively easily so I can access the end game content? And just to be Crystal clear, I won’t EVER pay 36$ to swap my character on another server.

Ashkandi was Horde from the beginning. It’s why I went there. Ashkandi is at 3000+ overall which makes it a medium pop server. That is not determined by how many Alliance are on there.

There may be mergers in the future, but until then, all you can do is due diligence to find the server that works for you. Go to Benediction.

Just curious, why bring this up on GD? There is a Burning Crusade Classic forum.

Wrong forum bub. You should be posting in a place where people who care can read it.

I’m on Ashkandi. It’s definitely a low to medium population server. I think a merge with Windseeker should be considered. I’d consider a free xfer to Mankrik

(My alliance server for TBC is Atiesh and it’s pretty good.)

Benediction is PvP. Pagle is the big PvE east alliance server.

True, but the point still stands. They can find ones that have mostly Alliance with a better population. It’s the best option until Blizz decides to merge things.

There was a sale recently. Must have missed it.

1 year later……free transfers were missed. They do them periodically do check every now and then.

Some guild dramas shifted server pops. Blizzard can’t control emo geek rage.

Mega servers. ….just embrace them. Altiesh for alliance and mankrik for horde are nice imo Grob is good for pvp. It took a lot of refugees in so it’s not strict pvp rp as much anymore really.

Like I said, I didn’t know that “Medium population” was meaning so low and I didn’t know that I was able to verify which server was mostly Alliance. And I wrote this in this forum because I used the link the Game Master gave me.
