Is the best version of any game I’ve played so far lol. Dude . Tbc talent trees in classic wow . This is classic +. Really enjoying doing the 60 raids and leveling characters with the quicker exp and gold from maxed out quests .
I wish we had more time . I’d do like 3-4 more alts but with only a week and a half left I feel like it’s not enough time . I think 6 weeks would’ve been like the best amount of time for a prepatch .
It really is. Even with all the buggy crap (please fix btw) the prepatch has been more enjoyable than the entirety of anniversary so far.
Been saying this for years classic + should start with TBC pre patch …
I’d prefer Wrath talents.
So you would get 60 talent points in Vanilla and basically get to max out 1 tree to the fullest. or have them trimmed a bit, but basically full Wrath trees around Vanilla with Wrath itemization.
Very similar to what china did with their realms.
I too want wrath talents. I’ll also be taking every bis caster item first because I’m demo and 10% of my SP goes to everyone while also being one of the top DPS specs
We actually had a demo support lock in my Wrath-C guild. Dude got fed all the spell power gear. That was his job - rack up as much as SP as possible. So he parse was grey or green at most, but he boosted the rest by quite a bit.
That’s uh. The job. I did the same but parsed orange. Only diff is I took engi over JC. Parsing green or gray on demo is really bad. Was he just not aware of MC procs or pre potting?

I was Rdru with Valanyr parsing orange/pink as a healer in ICC heroic prog prebuff. So I was chilling on the couch xD
It just seems silly to funnel a demo who is probably only spamming shadowbolt. Demo is a top DPS spec and should be minimum parsing purple because they get funneled gear. It’s a very competitive role and usually an officer plays it because ur demo quitting is really bad.
Thankfully he never quit and stuck with us all the way through Cata. (not that it mattered in Cata)

I can’t remember as it’s been a while but I felt like wrath made the game to feel retail like .
Example enh shaman in classic and tbc , a lot is based around totems auto swings etc. wotlk you drop all totems with 1 button( I REALLY didn’t like this ) and you’re apm is significantly increased (a lot closer to retail pvp) don’t get me wrong wotlk is fun pvp but … then it’s kind of like having 2 retail versions of this game . As good as pvp in wotlk was you have to keep the classic and retail separate.
I legit just gave up on glad push on retail , not because it was hard, because the retail version of pvp isn’t doing it for me anymore , which is what I think wotlk will bring and then I’ll just stop playing.

WotLK talents are designed to force you to finish a tree before spending talent points in any other tree by making the talents at the bottom really overpowered. They belong in the garbage bin with retail.
Good point. 1 version of sham I like is ele resto hybrid where you ditch the bottom talents and you’re like half way through both trees and it was my fav version of caster shaman. Good point wotlk does force you to go all the way into a tree or you’re wasting time
as a warrior i would also like wrath talents / abilities, I hate that prot warriors have no aoe threat generation, a number of tbc dungeons are awful to tank as a prot warrior.
also in vanilla & tbc 20 str = 1 shield block value in wrath 2 str = 1 shield block value…like if you’re gonna make me wear a shield make it feel worth it.
in that same notion , going to wotlk talents don’t you lose class identity ?
Tbc warrior is single target tank
Pally is aoe tank
Druid is off tank each tank has their strength and weakness . Kind of the whole class identity thing that separates classic from retail. You also have more skills to use for tanking . Shield block , shield wall last stand . Druids got … enraged Regen ? Pally got holy shield?
prot warrior has no class identity (in classic).
vanilla is all fury prot
tbc druids are far better single target tanks. i know i was a prot warrior last time around i was a prot warrior and i was dang good getting 98 and 99 parses for all of t6, but even so the writing was on the wall by mid t5 druids were just smashing it.
more over i don’t mind pallies being the best aoe tanks, but SL and SH have pulls with 6 or 7 mobs and a warrior just doesn’t have the abilities to generate that kinda threat. just something to keep mobs off the healer til i can land enough devastates.

Hard disagree. Not just TBC prepatch, but all prepatches are terrible. Glitchy, clunky gameplay with weird talents for weeks at a time.
