TBC needs private-loot system

those servers would need to be absolutely segregated to those servers in every way.

  1. Cheating hack would be a permanently attached title.
  2. They would be forever banned from Battlegrounds and Arena
  3. They would have no access to battle net communications and zero cross server access.
  4. There should only be one server for each blizzard game for cheaters, and the population cap would be very very high, and there would be no sharding, layering, or any other quality of life function present.

Basically it would be a hateful experience.

You could always join a guild that uses a different loot system instead of buying gear in pugs

Segregated, certainly. But let them have their own BG pool or “battlegroup” that contains only them. The game world and options should be no different, beyond being restricted to that server for eternity, only having access to fellow bots and lowlifes.

IMO cheating on a single account needs to condemn the whole Battle.net account to that same fate, with zero exceptions made.

That puts skin in the game for them to risk if they want to get busted and damned to an eternity of cheating scum, then so be it.

I am agreeing with that part. However those entire battle net accounts should be stuck on separate servers for eternity, with the rest of the lame idiots and bots. They should however get every gameplay that one would get on a “normal” server, save anything cross-realm with the normal servers. That way they cannot complain that they are paying for something they cannot do, that the non-punisher players get.

Blizzard would still get their subs (until they open a new battlenet account), and legit players would not have to put up with their idiocy. (once caught and given the boot to the “special” servers.

I don’t specifically have a problem with this idea, but Blizzard is not going to take the time and effort to install a system into a version of the game where it did not exist. When they brought Classic, they simply ‘refurbished’ an existing version of the game. The changes they made were quite possible within the realm of the existing patch/version. Putting something entirely new into an older version of the game would likely require time and effort that they are not willing to put in.

I don’t care either way, but classic is built on the retail backend, and would likely easily accept any retail change blizzard felt like installing.

Yup, 100% that’s what I was after also. I don’t want them to have any sort of way out, no respite from their damnation.

Imagine all of them spamming each others mailboxes, and fighting over the same herbs.

Especially when they are all crammed in on the same super ultra cancer mega server where everything is a war for the stuff, and the server is packed full of every kind of cheating filth.

Hell is other bots

Yup, botters and hackers.

I don’t really see Blizzard warranting a change of game mechanics on the loot system, but i could be wrong as they changed the Lockout limit per character

Implementing this system could help counter Gold Buying as people do not have to seek 3rd party options to buy thousands of gold to outbid their competition

But it will not stop the botting situation because 5k Gold for a Epic flying still a market sadly. But late game TBC has dailies, i wonder if they’ll push those dailies to help combat gold buying?

Maybe Blizzard would’ve modernized WoW Classic but people kept asking for #NoChanges

Bots uses flying and teleport hack already in every layers.
Sadly, I only have 45k golds now and it considered as ‘Poor’.
#Nochanges will make ‘real money trading loot system’ instead of gdkp.

Well for starters its called Personal Loot.

And I don’t think thats what we need.

What Blizz needs to do is crack down on gold buyers. Thats what needs to be done, if buyers know they will get a 1 week ban on the 1st offense, 1 month ban on second offense and 1 year ban on the 3rd+ offense they wont buy gold.

The only other solution is to have a WoW Token for Classic.

I would rather see a harsh stance on gold buying.

Did you just compare random people buying pixels in a video game to people abusing children in real life? I’m gonna walk myself out…

If Blizzard can’t handle banning the amount of bots farming gold. Then go after the buyers, I’m 100% fine with people getting bans with first offenses for gold buying. Heck I know people I play with every week who buy gold…

Sorry, but your listed punishments you listed are not remotely “harsh stance”. There should be a zero tolerance policy. Buy gold, entire bnet account deleted.

I’m considering selling golds and QUIT ultimately if they still #nochanges.
I feel like personal loot is the only way decreasing gold inflation when TBC launches out. And It is the only way giving a chance for new/came back players. Will you answer this question Blizzard?

I started running BWL gdkp since phase4. And at the end of phase5, we got 8 AQ40 raids per week doing around 1.5hr clear. At the beginning of phase6, we did struggle a bit. But now I got 2 raids sorted 15/15 and the 3rd at 13/15 which will be full clear tonight.

Sometimes, the price is retarded. But for most of the time, prices are reasonable. The raid we did last night (15/15), essence of sapphiron went for 12k and kingsfall 19k. Split was around 5k. So you get a huge item almost guranteed by going to 3-4 raids.

I can’t say for others, because meta in different servers can be very different. What I did was, I never asked for a minimum amount of gold you must have to be able to join. I run with absolute pugs, instead of guild carries and couple of huge buyers. In fact, if anyone sign up as buyer, I usually ignore his sign up. Calling himself a buyer gives me the idea that he’s not going to be responsible for his plays during the raid.

And on our server, people who hate GDKP are usually those who run ms>os pugs with everything juicy reserved, or those who run guilds with super corrupted loot council. I think I just gave them a very hard time, as only noobs and idiots would go to their raids now.

My main is a mage. I don’t boost, I aoe farm DM:East and herb. I have thousands of gold. I use that gold to buy gear for my alts.

That is the universe where GDKPs are good for the game.

Never happened. I ran an alliance GDKP during WotLK for Ulduar, ToTGC and ICC. Never banned, never had a raider banned so no clue what you’re talking about.
