I turned in the second “True Masters of the Light” quest for the lvl 60 paladin charger chain but instead of completing and offering the last quest… It took the quest items purchased from the vendor (left the 2 diamonds in my bags), made a quest failed sound, and now offers the same quest again.
Just to restate as simple as possible…
I had all 4 required items. Lord Solanar Bloodwrath in Silvermoon City had the yellow question mark. I hit complete. The failed quest sound played. NPC continues to offer the quest I just attempted to turn in.
Having issues with this being addressed properly via in game ticket. Being directed to wowhead multiple times has not been the least bit helpful…
I hate to say it, while this is a bug you should wait for pre-patch.
That is if this is on a TBC server, pre-patch the mount becomes trainable.
TBC indeed. I know it’ll be trainable but I was fine with doing the quest either way. My mains have nothing left to do besides make gold for WOTLK.
Since I enjoy questing I figured doing the chain would be fun to do while I wait. It took all of 30 mins to get to the second to last quest, which then bugged. All the required gold for the chain is already spent. Just need the last quest that was supposed to be offered lol… womp
Yeah I don’t know, if you made a bug report through the bug tracker I think that’s plenty but I just don’t see this being fixed by the time pre-patch comes.

I sadly don’t have high hopes for a resolution either. I put in a ticket, and then a bug report after the second reply to my ticket referred me to the wowhead for the wrong quest (the first reply was just just an automated response… also referring me to wowhead instead of acknowledging an issue)
Sucks to be out 170g (just for the vendor items… closer to 385g if you include the items and gold dump for the previous parts of the chain) for a quest that bugged, and won’t even allow me to proceed to get the mount. Just to have to spend more gold on top to train it at pre patch I guess

Yeah it’s unfortunate but that’s just how it is, on the bright side It’ll get fixed eventually and then you can get it done.
Well that and the mount is trainable.
