Classic is dead at this point. There’s no denying that. But TBC is going to be worst. Here’s reasons why.
-
It will end a lot faster than Classic has. It only took 4-5 months before the population dropped off. People rushed it too fast not taking in the enjoyment slowly. The only thing people hang onto for it now is for the PvP rankings. TBC has no PvP rankings, the progression of raid in it and everything else in it whether it’s leveling and such will end a lot faster. I would give TBC 2-3 months tops before it dies off.
-
The population will be worn out thinner than it ever would be. Classic servers will drop out of existence. There’s also retail that has a hold of some of the population. Not to mention that WoW’s overall popularity is going downhill. Sure there’s going to be a big splurge of people in TBC legacy for the first 1 and half months but it will drop out of existence when people rush to 70 and rush all the content in a span of 3 months.
-
World PvP is absolutely dead. Classic WoW’s world PvP has gotten so bad now. Only during PvP rank period with no BGs and the first few months of Classic WoW’s inception was lots of World PvP. TBC had hardly any world PvP if any at all even in it’s inception. It wouldn’t be any more different now than ever along with the population being worn thin.
-
Resilience. Nuff said. Not a very appreciated stat.
-
Flying mounts. Makes many cases way more cheaper. Makes the world less immersive and interesting. Makes resource grabbing even more cheaper between the one with a flying mount and those without. World PvP if there is ever going to be any will be even cheaper between someone with a flying mount vs. someone without. What difference does this make with retail. I would just call TBC retail the same thing.
-
Arena. Seriously, this is what you call good PvP? I mean there are over 100 MOBAs and games featured on this kind of gameplay now, very stale at this point. I honestly don’t understand what difference there is with TBC and retail now. Everything bad about retail was started from TBC’s “new” mechanics and systems.
-
Smaller raids. Less epic, less large scale. The progression will end really quick. Just go back to retail same thing.
-
No magic resistance stacking raids like MC, Naxx and AQ. Yeah again the progression of raids wouldn’t last that long. Just go back to retail same thing.
-
Daily quest grinding. Really. Is there anything more to say about that?
-
Far less communication and community building in TBC.
-
An even more bleak and empty Azeroth with everyone in Outlands in TBC. This is without a doubt. Just get boosted bro.
-
Horde population will be 50% Blood Elves. There’s no doubt about that.
-
Far less interesting knick knacks like the Skull of Impending Doom or Tidal Charm in TBC.
-
Items are all streamlined too much. It was far more interesting to have weird stats and less powerful items and less powerful upgrades along the way to keep people on that carrot on the stick without having new gear that just boost them up too much that content becomes too easy. The clown suit deal was a lot more interesting. Everyone had different set of gear which made us all different and interesting in a way. People would use certain mechanics with weird engineering gear in exchange for other gear to throw down some interesting combos.
-
Paladin is for Alliance, Shaman is for Horde. But now every faction has every class. No more characteristics for each faction anymore.
-
Quests in TBC are piss poor easier than Classic. So expect players to finish reaching level 70 in a span of 1 week of TBC release.
