TBC incoming sooner than expected is that really what we want?

For those that recieved the chance to apply the survey, it might come as a surprise that blizzard is probably working on classic TBC. But is that the content that the community wants?. Are the zones, dungeons and raids what vanilla fans want?. Probably. But what if is just the improvements for balance, quality of life, professions, arenas that come with it.

I will say that TBC servers will definetly split the community, classic servers will have to readjust their comunity, guilds and so. And TBC players will start the journey forgetting hours and hours of dedication in classic version.

Here are some ideoas of what i think is better for the community. And of course is just my opinion. Please be polite.

WOW CLASSIC PLUS
1.- Balance changes: TBC fans always say this “this class is so good at TBC”. What if instead of new expansion and destroying classic. We add this balance changes in classic. If will be so great that both factions have the same classes and benefitis that will comes with them. Hear this “not viable classes and specs”

2.- Zones: We have plenty zones that are currently in classic wow that we could use as new conctent, new raids, and pvp areas. Sadly blizzard has forgotten them. But i think there is a way that does not interfere with the actual “history line” of current version of WOW. And instead just a few thigs that will explain the course of histury at the past.

3.- PVP: TBC pvp system is kinda better than the actual. The Arenas is where the pvpers really show their abilities. And instead of moving out to a new continent that truly world pvp is not as good as classic. We just stay in azeroth, with as i said, forgotten zones that can be used.

4.- Dungeons and raid: New zones, new raids as Uldum, Gilneas, North plaguelands, Hyjal, are some ideas of zones that could potencially have new dungeons that doenst change the history but instead add some clues of what was happening during that time. This could be realeased in different patchs and events for all the server.

This new content will not come with a tutorial. We as classic fans will enjoy the discovery of how to beat this new enemies mechanics. This new areas could have new resistances gear (Chaos, arcane, fire and so on) So we can use gear of classic in combitation with new items.

4.- LVL CAP: Controversy

Option #1: We keep the lvl as it is. But we add difficulty t osome dungeons and raids. Heroic versions probably. This worked in TBC and WOTLK. But imagine heroic version of classic dungeons with new mechanics, forgotten boss encounters, and of course better loot table.

Option #2: LVL 65. But with the same that i said early. Heroic raids and dungeon versions with improved loot. Or just tokens to improve the classic item version. For example what if u got the T2 mage full set. With TBC if will be lost in the bank or DE. But with this tokens that u will get in HEROIC raids u can improve the item to a lvl 70 version. That can actually work if thats the set bonus u want to keep.

What i dont want is that all the loor that we have got during some weeks and months. Will not be just discarted as trash in the new expansion.

5.-Items: New items with correct itemization, new resistances, new profession items. In order to beat the new content, players are encourage to get items from classic dungeons and use it in different ways.

6.- Professions:New ones: Jewelcrafing, inscription, treasure hunting, archeology. In order to avoid saturating the market with only jewelcrafting. Players will have new options to discover the new world and benefit from it.
This professions will have utility items, cosmetics that players will want to use during raids and will encourage to travel around azeroth.
Improvements to old ones: 100 more points to actual professions skills, with new materials from old and new zones. This in order to avoid overfarming new zones. Can u imagine 100 miners in Uldum… insane.
And in orden to do this, new materials will be placed in old zones.

7.- Races: Horde players want blood elfs and ally players want shamas. Blood elves are actually in the game but in a TBC zone, we could use them. And draeneis came in a spaceship so…
Maybe this is the oportunity to add new classes to each race as they did in later expansions. But this will come with balance changes so, its a huge topic.
8.- NO FLYING MOUNTS: I know its cool to fly across the continent, but some players found it more enjoyable ground mounts. And i agree, i know is time saving but we want to explore the world as it is. We could add profession mounts or class mounts. But I trully preffer to be just ground.

This are some ideas of what i think classic should be after nax. The community will agree with some and disagree with others. But as a classic player and a truly fan of wow. TBC in not really the way we should be going. Most of the expansions left the world just as a leveling area. And not as the living world that we experience now.

Is al can say, enjoy and i will respond your doubts.

there’s no TBC.

we’re in phase 3 of 6 of Classic. by phase 6 we’ll have forgotten about TBC entirely.

What you’re basically suggesting is Classic+. I just don’t believe the the Blizzard of 2020 is going to spend the resources to do what you want. It’ll be much easier and cheaper to just re-release TBC and run it in maintenance mode. What you want would entail spending way more money for basically the same return.

As i said. This is an idea of where we should go after phase 6 that is NAX.

Just wanted to say, BC August 2020

A little disappointing to see it so soon tbh.

I find it hilarious that they would poll players, but say “you think you do.”

I say bring on TBC. Streamers can go bonkers again. And all Blizz has to do is figure how to host it properly.

Classic+ sounds like a risky gamble for old Blizz. This new Blizz might go for it.

Did I miss an announcement? What do you mean ‘so soon’? I’d imagine with Shadowlands coming around August for retail and Naxx probably early 2021, that TBC wouldn’t be out until around summer 2021.

Why? The vanilla/ classic sandbox players don’t really want that. They want to sit in their sandbox forever. TBC players want to sit in that sandbox forever.

Neither had much content then and you are seeing that play out now. Phases are coming out months early and classic didn’t make it 6 months before people began asking for TBC. Why spend money making content for people that won’t be happy either way.

As long as they are paid to play. When that pay check ends they will move on.

Well i dont think same return will be this case, a lot of classic players and new players will want to at least try this. So they will gain a lot of money recycling zones that are actually on the game. Actually classic wow has triplicate wow subscribers. So they have the resourses.

Remmeber that ins order to run classic they had to do it again. So TBC wil have the same issue. So intead of runing resourses on that. They could use them in improving classic.

The questino is, will they. I dont think so. But maybe if we propose things that we actually will like.

I thought classic was going to be a museum type piece

TBC INCOMING SOONER THAN EXPECTED

By who? There’s no announced date yet, it could be 5 years from now. The title is pure bait.

Ignored the rest of your post simply because the title is so inflammatory that I don’t expect the body to be of much worth either.

It’s supposed to be and was initially the case. Unfortunately a lot of people are now bored with it and want to play TBC. Not just play TBC but transition their classic characters into TBC specific servers and with enough voices they will get what they want.

We dont know. All i say is why at this time they will make a survey if they ar not going to work on TBC soon. There is something

Oh TBC is coming it’s just a matter of when and how. I’d guess around summer 2021.

We truly dont know. Maybe they wil realease a TBC server the next months, we dont know. And this is not a bait. We as the community have to say something about it. Instead of just wait. They survey was a real thing. And it worries.

BC is much better than any classic+ idea ive seen on this forum anyway and it isnt even close.
