Every night, before I go to sleep, I pray for a TBC fresh server. After playing all these different versions of wow I’ve just come to realize it’s just what I enjoyed most, the perfect balance of classic with some changes. It’s always on my mind
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord for TBC And if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my glaives to take. In Illidan’s name, Amen.
Yes please.
There’s absolutely no reason they couldn’t have done Vanilla, TBC and Wrath.
Now we have SoD, whatever amalgamation that is and, of all things, Cataclysm - when the game lost 4M subs. I just… I’m flabbergasted.
Agree, the original 3, with as few changes from the originals as possible. As I stated in another post Cata and SoD can run their course and then go away.
Agree, by far my favorite expansion
Id be down for a fresh tbc server
Same. I log on everyday hoping to see a Blue post that we are getting a TBC server.
There is only one way this may happen; unsub with the reason “no era servers” and hope enough people do also so that Blizz notices the drop in revenue
Maybe one day I will wake up and I’ll still be in tbc but this time…with both glaives.
that wont work, the only reason why we got classic servers at all is because of how popular nostralus got
i could play tbc again. Maybe with a shorter p1 and a longer p3 tho.
I really don’t understand why there aren’t plans for fresh Classic, TBC, and Wrath servers on rotation every 18 months. You don’t need to add anything, the pitch is that people want to do it again or on a new class or spec. After progression, all characters are rolled to an Era server, and the current Progression server is closed and a new one is opened a few weeks later. Rinse and repeat forever. This is all people want. Everquest does it multiple times a year.
Yes. I’ve thought this for years now. TBC was the sweet spot. I could list a dozen reasons or at least maybe 6 reasons why. It’s right before things got all messed up, and unlike Vanilla, I could play ANY spec in PvP and only PvP and get rewarded with appropriate PvP gear. No incentive to do a bunch of stuff I hate. When they said they’d move on from TBC without keeping so much as a single server for it, I couldn’t believe how much time I wasted on that. I always assumed there’d be a server left for it at least, and that Blizzard was trying to kick all the private servers in the nuts by running dedicated TBC.
Now I’m playing SoD, watching them go from a decent Phase 1 into a dirty stanky Phase 3, hoping Phase 4 is back to decent again, and of course suspecting they will terminate SoD, debating whether I should invest in things like professions and reputations if it’ll become a fossil 1-2 months after P4.
I feel like we are wasting our time because Blizz is not listening.
It’s kind of funny, because this is the one area where being “lazy” would be fine in most people’s eyes. Season of Discovery is a interesting testing ground for Classic+, and we’ll have to see if the experiment leads to that. And it is in the spirit of Vanilla in how the Runes are acquired. But if you asked me if I would want Classic>BC>Wrath on rotation, or just them all individually going with resetting progression, I’d take that every day of the week over Season of Discovery and Cata.
Exactly. This is why it’s baffling. Seems it would be easy to just set up a few servers for TBC and a few for wrath, and leave era alone and they’re done. Just watch the cash roll in.
Except they don’t leave Era alone. We’re stuck on the same client and it’s negatively impacted the game since TBC launched. Wrath animations have been bugged since SoD released.
