Tbc era realm petition

0, I’m deleting this garbage game off my PC for good.

Here are the reasons why Blizzard is considering not doing TBC Era:

Basically, it’s a heckuva lot of data to copy/support for something that many players would not partake in (why preserve all this clone data if people won’t use it?)

On that basis, what would be a viable solution? I like the idea of setting up a PvP and a PvE realm, which you can decide to copy your character(s) to. Players should pay a reasonable fee ($30 account) so that there are not any frivolous copying and also give Blizzard a kickback for supporting this. Window for opting in should be brief.

Essentially, everyone goes to WotLK but you can pay to copy characters to TBC Era (and if you don’t, you cannot clone afterwards).

Sound fair?

throwing my 1 into this even though I doubt it’ll change anything.

But yeah, the whole reason we wanted classic realms was because we wanted a better, safer alternative to private servers. I get that between Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath that TBC is the least popular of the 3, but at this point why even bother with Official Classic since it’s no longer a better, safer alternative to private servers?

We’ve just hit the same exact problem that private servers have with never knowing how long it will last and is nurturing the mentality of chasing “Fresh”.

Unsubbed the moment I saw this news. Will re-sub the moment they decide to let us keep our current TBC heroes. Otherwise WoW is pretty much dead to me for life.

I have spent the last ten years mostly doing outdated content in retail. I played a lot of Vanilla classic last year and what I really want is TBC now but I do not speed through content at 1 million miles an hour like some people. I need years. I play other games and have a life too. And I am happy to pay for those years, but I will not pay you to continue to start over and over and over.

TLDR: You want my money, you stop finding ways to force me to progress/reset my progress. IDRC what your stupid spreadsheet profit model tells you. I hate it. I will not pay for it. I am not a rat. If I were I would sit down at the start of the maze and starve. And die happy.

i say we pay for the snapshot and they snapshot at the time of purchase instead of cloning the whole community. let us pick which expansion give us certain amount of time to transfer to tbc and if we dont we are locked to wrath. or we can purchase a clone snapshot of our character for both dont clone the whole community this time please lol

I’m not interested at all, but unlike some of the other issues going around I’d never actively fight against it, and I see the appeal. So…

yeah man i feel the same way is all wow is is a fresh reset every 2 years. i thought classic was gonna be something different when classic era was announced. id play every expansion over years if we got era for all of them

Don’t clone. Make people pick an xpac per character the first time they log in on that character. Then we can keep some TBC, move some to Wrath, and roll new toons in both as desired. Problem solved.

Probably due to the reception of WoW Classic Era servers. :eyes:

For real! There was a pretty noisy population demanding clones prior to TBC Classic, but they clearly didn’t continue to support Classic Era servers.

Having the ability to raise a new character on a Classic Era server, then “upgrade” to TBC Classic, Wrath Classic, whatever, would be a much better option, imo, and might even help to sustain previous expansion populations (though, who knows?).

Considering Classic is supposed to be Museum Piece where people can choose to play their favorite version of the game, they should be allowed to stay in TBC if they want. This sets a dangerous precedent for the future of Wrath.

Nobody should be forced to move anywhere a 2nd time.

not true ive played classic era since tbc launch and theres 2 realms that are doing great on both horde and alliance!!! everyone is more than likely gonna play the new expansion when it comes out, but alot of people like to come back and enjoy whenever they like. theres atleast 1000 players that still play classic era

No TBCC servers means I will go play on a TBC private server.

TBC has enough love to warrant at least 1 PVE and 1 PVP server.

this seems very fair to me and pretty easy to do

agree it will still have a healthy community if we can just play on 1 pvp and 1 pve it would be much easier to add servers rather than take away
