The successful tbc private servers did a 60/40 or 55/45 faction queue early on which gives incentive to roll alliance to avoid the queue. Once population stabilizes the queue settles down
Youâre totally right. In raw numbers itâs even. But weâre talking about pvp, not just pop numbers. Horde as a whole are way more into pvp than the alliance. I did some napkin math in another thread and came to the conclusion that there is roughly 400 horde in queue for every 1 alliance, based on current queue times. Thatâs a ridiculous imbalance.
Eq does it that way, itâs not a stretch to say will do it as well
Faction ratios will only matter for raids and for the stubborn who try open world pvp. People will intentionally seek faction heavy servers. You might not see an alliance dominant pvp server at all. Just like retailâŚ
This assumes that server densities dont become a joke like they did when layers are removed and crz bgs stick around (they will).
25% of the base 10% of everyoneâs stun resist. So I believe:
10/4 = 2.5 for 2.5% a total of 12.5%
And on my buggy server, Lightâs Hope orcs were erroneously given a flat 25% stun resist. So we had it super wrong. But, to be fair, thereâs way more bugs and things wrong on classic than on LH.
This guy gets it!
I remember undead being the best rogue racial to counter locks and priests cc.
i remember the looking at the top 100 paladins on the pvp brackets
like 95 where belfs , the others were human and dwarf
They were in vanilla since not all trinkets dispell fear. Some just do slows/snares some do poly.
So it gave them an edge for sure. In TBC everyone got a âgoodâ trinket. Fears also broke easier and didnât last 40s anymore. Additionally, you didnât run at full speed while feared.
Still a great racial to be sure. But, you could silence the fear vs WOTF it off. Same thing in the end.
How is it worded in game? If it says âincreases chance to resist stuns by 25%â I would take that 12.5% vs 10%. If says âgives a 25% chance to resist stunsâ it take it as 25% vs 10%
It could be that most ppl already had their undead rogues leveled by the time lvl 60 came out making belf representation low comparatively.
How about nothing?
Thereâs some hate against people who say reroll, but just think it through a little, and consider playing Blue instead of Red, if your preferences are in alignment with the lesser populated side.
Since we all have access to playing both sides, and are free to do so, we are also free to resolve whatever issues we are making up for ourselves.
I think they should leave the game alone and just re-release fresh servers after Naxx has been out for 3-4 months.
No layering
faction balance on PVP servers
No name reservations
Do it right, the second time.
Yes thatâs why LH made the mistake. But, as many can attest - orcs certainly donât resist 1/4th of the stuns.
And the wording can go either way, easily. But yeah, itâs an increased 25% chance to the base chance.
Iâm honestly very puzzled as to why anyone would say this. I personally am not a huge fan of TBC and am not looking forward to its release with any enthusiasm whatsoever. However, Iâve seen more posts than I can count of players lamenting the good old TBC days. In my admittedly limited experience, there is far more demand for TBC than there ever was for Vanilla. Given the amount of TBC hype that has been generated on these and other forums, I have trouble seeing how TBC would be anything but successful. If I had my way, we would get WotLK, but who knows what the future holds? Blizzard hasnât even officially confirmed a TBC release.
Oh sorry, read fast it says:
Chance to resist stuns increased by an additional 25%. So yeah, off the base chance.
Yeah TBC is happening. Vast chunk of the community want them. I donât see why its a reason to argue considering the player base is big enough to have both.
At the end of Classics life cycle they shouldâŚ
-Merge the remaining servers together. Let players keep their items and give them the option to stay.
-Start a few new fresh classic servers
-Introduce new TBC servers
Idk how they will manage the tbc population oh such a small landmass that is Outland. Even with the two continents in classic , some servers were crazy crowded.
I donât mean to trash private servers that much but also keep in mind everyone had forgotten about Taurenâs reach and made things like hamstring kiting and front stabbing a thing.
according to rogues orcs have around 85% stun resistance
