Dear Wow Classic team,
We might not be a majority, but a lot of us would love to play TBC classic.
I appreciate your efforts bringing SOD. I think it’s one of the best things that happened to WoW. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have 1-2 servers frozen in last TBC patch for us to enjoy playing our favorite expansion.
Many posts I read in these forums bring the question of “splitting” the player base even more. To that I say: many of us won’t even be part of the “player base” to begin with. I kept my Wow sub going this year only to find myself logging in 1-2 times a week to queue some arenas (Wrath classic). I briefly tested SOD as well and I like where it’s going. But for me, it won’t be where I will spend most of my time online, it will be a TBC server if we had that option.
TBC classic was far from perfect. Adding other issues on top of this (GDKPs, gold buying, botting, boosting etc…), which are practices primarily driven by the players, make the game as a whole, regardless of version, look very bad and unappealing to a good portion of the player base. There is 0 fun in logging in to play the game and encountering all of these issues.
While offering a TBC server won’t solve any of these issues, we would at least be playing the version of the game we like! Like many others, I have no interest in Cata classic. That’s when I stopped playing the game back in the day and I have no interest in exploring it either. I can see how a Wrath classic Era server would also be desirable by some players and it wouldn’t be too unreasonable to offer them that possibility too. For me, it’s going to be a TBC server, and if that option is not available, potentially stop playing the game altogether unfortunately. There is not enough incentive to continue paying the subscription amount.
It’s not a big thing to ask. You have the ability to make tens of thousands of players happy ( and their subscriptions active!) with a small effort.
