TBC boost route

Paladins have issues pulling what mages could pull.

Mages AE.
Paladins PBAE.

Big pulls will yank Holy Shield in 2s. Redoubt only has a 50% uptime on big pulls. Paladins simply can’t pull anywhere near what a mage could pull and live through it.

Also the Patch 2.2 AE nerf limited the damage cap to 10 mobs…but it will spread out to how many mobs are in the AE. IE a Mage with solid +spell power in TBC can AE 30 mobs at nearly the same rate as a Paladin.

Boosting is simply going to be slower. But boosting Strath and Scholo, as examples, become relatively straight forward for both Mages and Paladins.

If you plan on AE’ing as a Paladin, make sure you do Shattered Halls for Figurine of the Colossus, the most powerful solo Prot Paladin trinket that exists

Since mages cannot do mara 300 pull, what is the alternative for 40-50 bracket? Strat is 50+ while SM caps at 45 I believe

Basically old world will be boosted by pallies now along with mages.

Pallies won’t be boosting 300 pull Mana Tombs lol.

Pallies won’t be doing anything like what a mage in mara can do.

Boosting will be dead from 60-70.

And you, my orc friend, are cancer.

ZG coin turn ins 58-60 (and maybe as high as level 63, though it will be ludicrously expensive).

60+, the answer is mob tagging. World first level 70 was achieved in less than 8 hours via mob tagging. Here’s how it works. You attack an elite mob among packs of elite mobs. Your friends who are not in your group then tank and kill said mobs while you continue to tag as many as possible. You get full XP as long as the mobs would have also given XP to your ungrouped friends.

I have generated as much as 200k xp/hour in Tyr’s hand with this method, and there are plenty of elite areas in TBC where you can do this outdoors.

I agree.

A Pally call pull everything up to and including SM in a single pull.

After that it has to be broken up.

If a Paladin has a 2 box heal bot then more opens up.

A Paladin could probably pull Strath with just a full pulls as long as they can get some heals.

We shall see though. Many players like the incoming cash of boosting since nodes are usually hard to find.

A 70 paladin can do pulls of strat by Room. So 3-4 skelly packs at a time with relative ease.

That’s how I got rich in original TBC as a holy pally. Spor sheild with spike, spell power gear and FOL myself to full while consecrating everything down and holy wrath.

EZ.

This is also the fastest way to boost friends from level 25-35 in the southern barrens.

Also, nice side effect is if your pvp server is REALLY tilted in favor of alliance, you’re protected from pvp and then can head directly into mara.

Exactly.

I did the same thing as a Prot Paladin, who was a Hammersmith and Enchanter.

Took about 8 pulls, but it got done.

Sell weapons, BoE, recipes. DE BoP armor for shards and such, and collect righteous orbs.

Not all time-played is equal. And not all end-game roles require much proficiency

I faaackkin rofl’d

prot pallies say hello. Decent amount of SBV,SBR and the trinket from shattered halls and they’re literally unkillible gods. I’m seriously considering leveling one to farm gold in MC for me.

They’re going to make classic frost mages look like amateurs.

Ah, the degradation of WoW personified.

Apparently the best route is a quick swipe of your credit card.

It is possible that mages adapt and figure out how to efficiently flamestrike to kill mobs in Mara allowing at least the old 180~ mob pulls to happen which would bridge the somewhat awkward 40-50 gap.
