Impossible to do anything i enjoy anyway.
BGs that involve PvP won’t pop, farming is miserable, raids are trivial due to overgearing, alts are pointless (wanted to farm T0.5 on my Hunter for giggles, that’s not happening).
The biggest irony of it all is that the people who wanted Classic the most are the ones doing everything to skip as much of it as possible.
Questing? Nah just pay some indonesian Troll Mage for a boost.
PvP? Just spam AV and rush Van/Drek while avoiding as much player interaction as possible.
Raids? Buy gold from indonesians and get all your gear from GDKPs (they still exist).
Why did people want Classic again so badly in the first place?
Anyway, its over, lets move on.

TBC will be okay for maybe Phase 1 than it will quickly dies off and show Blizzard that nobody cares about Classic and it will be the last time they re-launch a pure Classic Format, so enjoy it while it last.
All you’re going to get from them now is a Sod-like Classic, cool for some people but the purists will just abandon Blizzard.
Idk, i feel the purists are the only people that care about this, which is why its min-max city without an ounce of fun to be found.
Honestly, if Blizzard axe the Classic format its going entirely the fault of its community.

Oh I get that, Classic Vanilla is a complete meme right now. People are speedrunning how fast they can avoid “playing” the game. It’s moronic in every aspect. I won’t get started on the parsing culture. But, Warcraft logs clearly killed any hope I have left in Classic, even in TBC, when content gets a bit harder people are going to scrutinize everyone one on their roster to try and save 5 min in their whole raid night.
A literal speedrun to avoid playing.

You do have a choice here. You can make PvP happen in AV if you want to. Sometimes the shortest path isn’t the most enjoyable one!

I still like Era but I’m all for TBC. Just make it Era too. The fastest way to make me lose interest in something is to try to FOMO peer pressure me into doing it

there are no good MMos coming out ever again. If the ones already out can’t suit you, then you are out of the genre.
Got the numbers of the Powerball as well to go along that prediction?
Cause i remember SRPGs and turned-based RPGs being declared dead genres multiple times and yet here we are.
It just take one company to make one good game to revive a genre.

Lol i still remember how Classic raiding was touted as the “hardest thing ever” before Blizz actually started releasing Classic and that whole illusion immediately fell appart. Turns out the biggest struggle was half your raid still being stuck on 56k internet back in 2005.
Its the same in TBC, bare maybe Vashj and KT depending on which states of nerfs Blizz will release them in.

I was kind of hoping they would make an era server of TBC but saw they said that will never happen. Total bummer because I really liked TBC classic and never got to play it originally.
One day i login to find its now wrath and there was no classic TBC to even stay behind or transfer to.
I would love a permanent era TBC but if thats never happening I still do putter around on my era classic chars even if the servers are kind of dead nowdays.

And the ‘release Wrath now’ threads will be plentiful.
Oh people will complain for sure. About different things. The fact PvP gear requires PvP rating for example, that’s going to be a culture shock.
Most of my issues with the game will be fixed.
No culture shock. The 20 something extra warriors per raid will reroll whatever class is meta
Judging by the level of play i see from a lot of these people 1850 CR might be a tall order even through FoTM rerolling.
You can’t just rush Van/Drek in Arena.

Mage boosting is the worst thing atm. Can’t form a group for any leveling dungeons and people will only come on their alts if there are summons.
i have an account on mmorpg dot com… since 2008. the genre is very over. The F2P is what killed it. the playerbase gentrified and solidified in monolithical groups and any new mmo would have to launch in a landscape where right out the gates it must exceed decades of existing development. No such product will ever exist.
I suppose you’re talking Anniversary servers here? Or I’ll have to protest. We’re a bunch still having fun, goofing around in the Era servers - mostly HC.
I just hope Blizz comes to their senses, and makes TBC forever servers for normal and HC BC alike.
Unfortunately they said they will never do this. Bummer.
