All I hear is RDruid/Lock rules arena in TBC. Are there any comps which are strong vs them. I don’t want to play a dime a dozen lock.

4T6 4PvP gear rogues with the legendary weapons or a hunter with the legendary bow + a healer
SL/SL TBC Locks makes BFA Destro look like absolute chumps. I still have nightmares.

I kinda want to go lock because I like the class but not if everyone and their aunts are locks. I’d rather play a class that counters them 
It depends which balance patch I think. I played in arenas in TBC many moons ago but I think the Meta shifted from warrior/resto druid to rogues/SLSL locks at some point in 2s. 3s has always been PMR and resto druid/rogue/lock I think.

Warr/lock/Druid was pretty strong. Pretty sure back then warrs/rogues/locks/druids owned meta. But it’s been a looooooong time. I’m sure things will change with more knowledge of the game when classic tbc hits.

In season 1 or 2… Locks did not really have a counter; pretty much had to be killed by another warlock. Season 3 onward melee started to do pretty well and it started balancing out. Best counter in the meantime? Undead rogue imo. Race mattered a lot back then lol.
I mean, yeah 'locks were good. But they weren’t global you good, they were spend 15 minutes to drain your teams mana and then finally kill you good.
2s: Rogue+Mage, Rdruid+Arms, Rdruid+SL/SL, maybe Pala+Arms and Rshaman+Arms. Some other niche comps like Hybrid Boomy+Rogue, etc.
3s: RMP and WLD will be the most dominating ones. But you will also see stuff like Disc+Rdruid+Arms or Disc+Hunter+Rdruid (maximum mana burn) and so on.
5s: Bracket for Ele to shine.
Feral/Rogue is kinda decent too. You’ll see a bit of Rsham/ret, Disc/mage.
in 3’s you will see some rogue/warrior/druid or priest sometimes. But yeah those comps you mention are pretty much the main tbc 3’s comps.

I played Feral through vanilla and then went Restokin during TBC and boy that was an amazing change of pace.
I Love how today we say Ret is a wheelchair class…if only they knew the horrors of the 2’s resto druid flooded bracket my poor ret faced. shudders
Unless they fix it like they did with Alliance Paladin’s Seal of Blood, the bow is dogcrap lol, Twin’s Bow + Ammos is better. And its a LOT more accessible since Twins are before M’uru, who might still be a challenge for more casual guilds and has a much higher drop chance.
Rets can dispel themselves in tbc from roots every gcd. Clones are annoying but that’s every class vs druids. Honestly the meta has probably changed so much from people qing tbc private servers for 10+ years straight.

Lol so true. SL/SL locks were basically a bfa destro that did no damage. People have terrible memory.
